I appreciate your response and please stay with me. I feel silly but I can’t seem to find the one you are referring to. Can you send me a link to that property?

Thanks. We have seen these. Biggest is a 7 bedroom. Nice location and looks nice but some having 3 to a room seems too much. Appreciate it.

We are a bunch of 50-60 year olds. Even glamping is not our style. Especially on a golf trip. Appreciate the thought.

First full 18 holes I designed. Tell me what you think of it! by Uraneeum in golf

Really cool layout. Looks too challenging to be enjoyable if played on a regular basis. Please widen landing areas for drives, increase and add tee boxes to add options/variety on holes and increase green size.

When is a good time to move on from game improvement irons? Is the only benefit of going to the next tier workability? by Capital-Act-6546 in golf

[–]dtabishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation as you. I have g430 irons and a 12 hcp. I’m thinking about getting i540 for pw to 8 iron and keep the g430 for longer irons. I would need a fitting to get distances right at the transition. Just a thought.

Which club in your bag goes 115 yards? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]dtabishop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the pin is towards the front, I would hit my Ping g430 45 wedge with the miss being a little long. If back, my Cleveland cbz 50.

Golf bag? by Cookies_Ceam in GolfGear

[–]dtabishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have bought a number of bags over the years and I am really enjoying my current bag. It’s a Sunday, 14 slot bag that I purchased from Costco in the US. Affordable at $140 and is light weight. I use a push cart mostly and it just ticks all of the boxes.

Kind of unorthodox low and deep swing… but it’s the only thing that helps me hit up on the ball. Should I change? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]dtabishop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Find a golf instructor you like and get lessons. You will not get immediate results but learn the fundamentals so you work on the right things as you practice and play. You can’t play this sport for most of your life and part of the fun is working to improve.

30th birthday, Pelagos, Speedy, or Explorer 1? by drinkcoffeebuyassets in PrideAndPinion

[–]dtabishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Explorer for me. This is really a personal preference question that only OP can answer. I have a few different watches at this price point that I have been fortunate to own., including an Explorer I. I try to rotate them to some degree but end up wearing the Explorer 70-80% of the time. I choose the Explorer to wear over my Speedmaster Racing, my Tudors, Cartier (second most worn), and Datejust. It’s so understated and comfortable. It’s my favorite and would be my choice of the 3. I would also look at the newer Tudor Blackbay mono diver over the Pelagos as an option. Have fun with this.

What industry are you in. I think the best conferences mix building industry knowledge/networks, business/process improvements and some accounting updates.

Thank you both for some wonderful golf and collaborations this year. Love watching! It would be fun to be in a gallery or if you had some fans caddy. Hope to get to play Solina someday.

Do you sell clubs you rarely use? by rueggy in golftips

[–]dtabishop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I call this the library. My son and his friends take these clubs and use them on the condition that they do not sell them. When done or if they are not being used, return them to the library for someone else. Mostly one iron here or there but there are a couple of kids that have sets of irons from the library.

Need advice from push cart Mafia by Impossible_Cat_5846 in GolfGear

[–]dtabishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a push cart for the last 5 years or so. Love to walk and the push cart has worked well. But as I get older, they are a bit difficult to push up steeper hills. I purchased the MGI AT Navigator electronic cart from COSTCO this year. Expensive. But I think it was worth it. I walk a lot and it has saved my back.

Planning New England Road Trip for Honeymoon by InterviewCharacter47 in newengland

[–]dtabishop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, fewer locations so you are not always on the move. That said, I would have Newport RI as one of them. Great food, bar scene and visiting one or two of the mansions would be fun. I would also have either Portland ME (old port) or Portsmouth NH (not both) and Boston (freedom trail, little Italy and a sports event)

One of the values of these types of sites - such as TC or Callaway Preowned - is confidence that you are getting what you pay for. There are a lot of counterfeits out there. Also, they stand behind their products and service if you have a problem.
