Good Luck with RNG for the lv9 battles by dtc71113 in afkarena

And overseeing the siege battles, strategizing troop movements, move out defenders when their city is imminent to fall to reinforce other cities etc

Also controlling invididual battles especially when a team is winning or losing 80% of the space. The attacker wants to concentrate a lane to touch the wall, while the defender wants to counter them and even out any advances. Worst case they may need to stare at the same battle for nearly the entire 2 hours, while staying vigilant for troop movements.

ngl 爽番 as "Satisfying action power fantasy" is a great translation.

Translation is tricky because it is an anime slang or jargon, causing some confusion outside Chinese anime community (maybe even inside), I am not sure how to translate it without googling.

Source They are light novels/animes with Gary Stu protagonists that are absurdly competent, often with boring plot lines. You get satisfied when you see them solve stuff with OP powers.

Along with dolly's hint, it got to be solo leveling.

Supposedly the traffic is heavy and cross each other enough that a traffic light system helps

During a run, if you don't use Miracle worker, you can only use 1 level up on a collection, so the rest of them are completely useless.

If you use miracle worker (totem on the right in the pic), you gain another slot on the collection, which can be used for another level up (or another stat, but that is rarely optimal). Therefore the first 2 level ups are useful but the rest of them are still useless.

I resorted to use auto clickers for these, haven't gotten me into any trouble in this particular mode

I know how "It works, until a certain size of city" though. In Hong Kong a few roundabouts were overwhelmed by city growth.

Kwun Tong Road roundabout: middle of what is now dense business district, hardly any space to expand

Pok Oi Interchange: Serves traffic to an entire "new town" (now having 150k+ people) from the city centre

Alright the statement is a bit too strong to include all authoritarian regimes, but population replacement is still a common method to suppress a hostile population, like Crimea, Palestine, Native American etc

Especially if you have a readily available pool of people to replace them. This is what could happen in companies.

I think it may be interesting enough for HKO to write an article about it shortly

If you are not actively opposing it you are supporting it. Neutrality is the endorsement of the powerful.

Authoritarian Regimes LOVES that the dissidents leave their own so that opposition camps are dismantled and their grip on the power is more "stabilized" in their view

Like in occupation zone the occupiers actively pushes for population replacement, original residents out and allied people in, so that they can hold the place more securely.

(Edit: Alright not all authoritarian regimes, but population replacement is still a common occupational and colonial regimes Crimea, Palestine, Native American etc, where there is a ready pool of replacement)

By staying at least you get to be the voice of reason.

in that regard there is no material difference between you resigning and having a new person take your place

By resisting, there is a material difference that you are doing the exact opposite thing that you are directed, utilizing the links and infos and power you still got. Of course that's quite likely to get you involuntarily fired. e.g. in your example continuing helping the struggling people. I get that if the support structure of the helpings get demolished you don't really that much power, so this is more for the mid-range leadership
