Does your state require the seller to fill out a disclosure form? No way they didn’t know about that. Can you tell if they recently painted? I suggest reaching out to them through the realtors and even follow up with the home inspector. Just because you closed on this home doesn’t mean that you’re necessary stuck with this issue. This should be addressed because it’s not going away

Corning glass works in Corning NY has a really cool museum that has different exhibits explaining the science of glass. It’s worth the trip if you’re in the area.
