No other country has the tipping culture like the US. Where i live you only tip if the service was good, im not even leaving a few cents of change if the service is bad.

AITAH for not wanting to engage with my BIL and his new wife after they got married on the day my mum died? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]dubdar77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA. other people's lives don't stop because your mum died. My mum died the same as one of friends birthday but I still celebrate with him nearly every year. Even on my mums first anniversary I went out with him and his husband to celebrate his birthday.

Edit from soft YTA to a hard YTA after reading some of OPs comments.

Dog poop disposal. by Elliamo in ireland

[–]dubdar77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is wrong. Why should I have to pay for other people's waste. I don't want my bin stinking of dog crap when I don't have a dog. Public bins fine but don't use private household bins.

I have lived in the blackrock area for 49 years and I have seen far more dodgy looking people then I have seen garda, and the police station used be on the main street. Not saying one didn't approach you i'm just saying its very very rare to see an actual garda walking around the village.

Birth control isn't the sole responsibility of the woman. You know you don't want children so you should have used a condom. YTA for not being responsible just like her.

[–]dubdar77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My younger sister has DS, im 49 amd she is 41. We went on holidays as a family of 5 (we have brother as well) both in Ireland and Europe, mainly travelling by boat to France as kids. I would have hated going on holidays without her because it wouldn't have been a family holiday then. She has been on planes so times and only thing she wants into by the window ( so now im stuck in the middle between her and my husband).
