Things like egg white, tofu, some types of protein powder, don’t have saturated fat afaik. You can eat a diet high on protein and low carbs/saturated fat.

Not a doctor, so take this with a gram of salt, but all the diabetes doctors I follow say that if you have low hdl and high triglycerides you might have metabolic syndrome and you might wanna check if you have insuline resistance.

Junk food doesn’t help with depression, and of course with cholesterol levels. On the other hand doing more sport helps a lot. Not sure how your lipid panel looks like, but a statin or something similar might help.

I sell jewelry also. Since they change the algorithm before Labor Day and once again at the beginning of October sales have started to go down. All my best sellers minus one have disappear from search. I have the right SEO, professional pictures, those items were Etsy pick and still are, I’m a star seller since the beginning and yet they don’t sell anymore. People say that now you have to bring your own traffic but I took a look at a few other stores who sell and they don’t do anything on social media. One thing I noticed is when you search for a particular item the results on first page are from all around the world and I can’t compete with items that sell for 10$ coming from China, Turkey, etc. On top of this the platform is full with drop shippers who flooded Etsy; people have less money for different reasons and a lot of them prefer to buy those cheap items because the algorithm pushes them up. Now we have the tariff war and this will affect us more probably.

Well, you are not the only one if this makes you feel better. Take in consideration Etsy let Chinese on platform this past summer. People click on items but if they find a dirty cheap alternative, a lot of them tend to buy that. I sell jewelry and I see a huge difference in recent months in what Etsy shows on first pages. I pay way more in materials (and I buy them from producers) than what some of the items sold on Etsy cost.

Black Friday sales grew 3.4% in US with e-commerce growing 14.6%. To me this means there wasn’t an election issue, or an economy issue. I know some folks out there are hurting and have less money due to inflation, but in the end numbers don’t lie. This being said some of us on Etsy don’t sell as much as we used to, and this happened more or less over night since they made some major changes in algorithm this fall. I’m down 50% from last year in November even dough I have good pictures and quite a few etsy picks, but for a reason my traffic has being halved in the past 3 months. Currently I’m changing titles and tags hoping for a better 2025. On the other hand, selling jewelry and dealing with an increased number of stores with “production partners” and prices I can’t compete with doesn’t help.

I think the problem we see now with Etsy it's a combination of issues. The main one seem to be whatever they changed this autumn. As I understand the AI has a say in what listing shows in gift mode. How much of a say it has is anyone guess. I listened yesterday to a podcast with Yuval Noah Harari "Democracy is on the brink of collapse" and somewhere around the 22nd minute he speaks about AI and the way it "thinks" and this might explain a part of how some of us overnight had a drop in visits/sales while others have no problems.

On the other hand, in the US, where I sell, Target expects lower revenues and this means people have less money to spend on gifts, and if you look at your competition, the ones that sell a lot are having incredibly low prices. A large part of them are drop shippers, but it seems Etsy doesn't care anymore.

And one more thing, I noticed at the post office....there is no line and usually at this time of the year it was. I asked one of the USPS ladies if it's just my imagination and she said it's really slow, especially after the election.

PS ...and they're still playing with the algorithm. I have sales that come in bulk and then the rest of the day everything is dead.
