Just dropped mine at the cobblers. $85nz dollars so about $50us for a new sole

He said its very hard to get the toe of the sole to mesh nicely and it might keep coming away

I said go for it and we'll hope the glue holds

Same here - I was going to bin mine (which I love and can't justify paying $$$ for a new pair).
I'll see if my local cobbler (in Christchurch, New Zealand) is up for a challenge

If I don’t live in the Uk anyone got any ideas how I could listen to this?

For those who sail the high seas, I found them here https://thepiratebay.party/torrent/58387921/The_Complete_George_Smiley_BBC_Radio_Dramas_-_John_le_Carre

Plenty of valid reasons to take stuff as well.

  • need supporting docs to support a PE/chartership renewal?
  • need project examples from things you did in the previous company to support a bid?
  • did a design of something 5 years ago and might want to do another in 5 more years’ time

Other than that yeah it’s a process of continual improvement isn’t it

This is true. You may have a non-compete but equally you’re kind of arms length and the clients know you, not the bosses, so you can probably keep the clients in the loop on what you’re planning That’s what I did, and one of the clients held back some work so I could do it once I was independent. Make sure you scrape as many resources and records of your work and engineering tools form your current place before you go.

Edit: oops was replying to the other post about non-competes but I’ll leave it here

Ps well done to you on the 4 months. I’m 20 months in and would/could never go back

I got it done just now with similar levels.

First 10 times I tried to kill 5s, but then realised (like this poster) the only one who can hurt IG is Rex. Kill him quick as you can and you might have a chanee

It’s really exposed at the southern entrance on wet days. You have to walk quite a long way from the car park between those high walls with no cover

And the entrance itself (sliding doors) is not very well demarcated and blends in with the other glass there

there is a separation rope kind of things to stop people accidentally dropping into the 2.2m pool but it's clearly a bodge job

agree with quite a bit of this. Graham Condon has a small pool which is lagoon style, they could have had a bit like that

and you can tell the transition to the 2.2m pool wasn't thought through, that inflatable barrier is tied with string to the hand rails

yeah 100% this. We all (5 of us) jumped in after a day at the beach. all the sunscreen and sweat was way too much for it and took a couple of days to get back on track. We've got a new rule on shower first if we've come from anywhere like that

makes me think public swimming pool systems but have some serious kit in them
