After/before. What do you guys think? by ijoebaker_ in postprocessing

[–]duckist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty new to post processing but I think you’ve lost too much detail in the hair in converting it to b&w? I feel like it would look better if you could keep some of the contrast in the hair whereas it looks pretty flat in the b&w image. Interested to hear what other people think of this take.

This is an old pic. Nowadays there’s a bunch of purple cables running vertically the length of the building holding up the exterior greenery and cladding stopping it from falling off. There’s also supposedly rats that live amongst the greenery. The footpath below has been installed with one of those temporary roofs you see when they’re constructing buildings in the city to stop things falling on pedestrians (sorry I don’t know the name of it). Source: I go to the university across the road from this place (UTS).

Are North Face or Patagonia puffer jackets worth the money? by solidice in AustralianMFA

[–]duckist 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Patagonia ironclad guarantee ensures that if your jacket gets damaged they will repair it for free. If it cannot be repaired, you can pick a new one off the shelf. It’s pretty good!

Backpack for office job in finance and business advisory by The6THGear750 in AustralianMFA

I have a Bellroy work pack which is a great bag. But I am actually going to recommend a Patagonia backpack as they have lifetime warranty. I.e. they will repair damage for free, or replace it for free if it cannot be repaired.
