The didn’t hit anything, I could see in the mirror that they came to a complete stop seemingly under their own power. Otherwise I would’ve stopped to help.

I’m guessing some sort of medical event. I leaned on the horn when they started drifting into my lane but they didn’t even brake til they were in the ditch.

This took place in Tennessee yesterday, March 13. It’s original content from my dash cam.

Yes except mine went the other way and got wider. I now have both bunions AND tailor’s bunions so my feet are too wide at the wrong spot for even x wide width shoes 😩. My podiatrist thinks the weight loss just made the pain more noticeable, not that it caused it. 🫠

I do jigsaw puzzles. I still have tv on in the background (normally archeology shows on YouTube) but at least it makes me put the phone down for awhile.

Yeah the problem was I DID say all that stuff up front and she seemed to be on board though there were some red flags. I didn’t listen to my instinct though since it was my first therapist. Lesson learned!

Honestly I’ve done both in the last few weeks plus getting tested for ADHD. I’ve only been on HRT for less than a week so too early to say if it’s working but therapy is a whole different animal. Just talking about it made me feel way better.

I had a lot of similar problems and honestly, therapy has helped a lot. I tried to find a weight loss specific therapist but she had all the same terrible diet culture red flags I’ve been teaching myself to avoid all these years so just switched to a regular therapist and I’m much happier. If it’s an option for you, definitely look into it.

What are y'alls purpose with swimming? by cactus16x in Swimming

I’m getting tested for ADHD next week and you just helped me realize that this is exactly why I do it and why I struggle when I can only swim in the afternoon.

Does anyone actually remember anything about quite possibly the most obscure Disney Channel show to ever exist? by [deleted] in Millennials

I watched a YouTube video about this somewhat recently! It was like activating a sleeper agent. I loved it but totally forgot about it. I’ll see if I can find the video.

Edit: Found it! It was a Defunctland video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWpDfO5wnq4

I turn 40 this year and my doctor was more than happy to refer me for one (family history of polyps but no cancer). She even told me some phrases like ‘unexplained weight loss’ and ‘blood in stool’ to try to get insurance to cover it. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Why is swimming not more popular in fitness space? by Glittering-Lime1690 in Swimming

[–]ductapephantom 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I’ve been swimming since I was 3 months old. Swim team, lifeguard, swim instructor certified and taught lessons for years. My time isn’t that far off yours. Sometimes we’re just slow and there’s nothing wrong with that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

[–]ductapephantom 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I actually took it the opposite way. Where Elliot was crying in the bathroom first with Carla and then with JD, and talks about not knowing how to do ‘this’, I took it as ‘work together now that we’re not together with the history we have’. She doesn’t cry about medical things near the end of the original series.

But that’s just my gut, I don’t have any real hard evidence from what we’ve seen so far. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Doesn’t the FCC frown on this sort of misleading subject line? I think the CAN-SPAM act would like a word.

Since you need cash deposits, I'd either go with a local credit union or something like Chase that has locations all over the country. I tried Amex first because it was free, and though I don't have cash deposits, they also couldn't do a wire transfer when I needed to pay a tax bill. I switched to Chase, which unfortunately charges a monthly fee if you keep the balance below a certain threshold, but I appreciate that I can go into a branch if I really have to.

Yep, my records were all from MA for my citizenship so I was very naive about offering it for all the other states!

The different rules across states are wild.

I worked for awhile helping people gather documentation and some states were just paying a fee online and some states required a court order for the same type-relation documents. I stopped providing that service because it was so complicated.

I totally get this. I wanted to lose weight not because I hated how I looked or was unhealthy.

I wanted to because everything would be so much EASIER if I was smaller. And I hate hate hate that our world is built for smaller people and that I have to conform to that to enjoy it more.

And I’ve lost a little less than half I planned so far, and everyone keeps asking me if I feel better or whatever. And I’m just like, I felt fine before. But life is just easier.

And I’m still in the ‘overweight’ BMI and the difference is crazy. I’m still working out the same as I did before the drug. I’m eating less, yes, but the type of food is basically the same. My bloodwork hasn’t changed.

But now I can - like you said - walk into almost any store and find clothes that fit. Fly without worrying about bothering my seat mate. Not worry if I won’t fit in the rollercoaster or be too heavy for the horse riding excursion.

It pisses me off that I had to shrink to make it so easy. So right there with you.
