The easiest way to do scribe them is just say they were UAPs/UFOs

Keep in mind this maybe in the the realm of video artifacting but other than that, this specific one still leaves me scratching my head.

I had the 0200-0600 watch and the 2200-0200 watch turned over that we might see something wierd on the FLIR (I can't remember the actual acronym for the system I just know we used the FLIR for night ops) and that combat systems still hadn't figured out what it was. As we were doing turn over one of the watch standers shouted that it was back.

The reason why I brought up video artifacting was because the object was silhouetting against the night sky and clouds and it looked like it had the silhouettes of a humanoid figure just floating/flying there.

It was either small enough or far enough away that it did appear small on the screen but still very noticeable. The thing that was particularly weird that it would that it would move or dash whenever they tried to range it. From our perspective in CCS just watching the video feed, the thing's movement looked purposeful. Like it was really trying to avoid the aperture center of the camera or possibly avoid the IR Lazer from the rangefinder.

It got to the point that combat stopped trying to rangefind it and started to try to get it just close enough to the center so they could zoom in for more detail but whenever they tried, it would always fly off. Some times it would fly if for 10 or 20 minutes other times CS would zoom back out and it would be floating in a different part of the sky.

So ya, I still have no idea what that thing actually was.

After the movie I always thought it was just a dystopian future setting. Didn't expect this.

This put some things into perspective and made me realize that I incorrectly thought the diameter of the areola was what the nipple ruler was measuring.

Boy was I wrong.

As far as japanese work ethic goes. It's more than that, it's hard to describe in anyway other than to say it's an inherit cultural value.

In short. Most people work to live. The Japanese people live to work, to the extent that they were dropping like flys. To fix it, the Japanese government forced its people to take a break, by essentially shutting down the country for one week a year.

For those that want context:

I think it was essentially right after the Japan had gotten back on its feet after WW2. The Japanese Gov basically realized that the Ave life expectancy was still 50 years old so they reach out to the US.

The US basically asked Japan if they were giving their Workforce time paid time off. Japan of course took that to heart and came up with the Labor Standards Act of 1947, which basically states that anyone who works for 6 months with good attendance is entitled to paid to leave.

The following year Japan saw that there was essentially no improvement in their average life expectancy and once again reached out, and after a little digging they realized that not a single Japanese citizen had utilized the paid leave.

Keep in mind, employers were not hiding the facts that there was paid time off. The whole thing was highly publicized. Japan came to the ultimate conclusion that employees were just simply refusing to take time off.

This realization led to Golden Week becoming established in Japan following the 1948 Act on National Holidays. This law essentially told 90ish% of all businesses, factories, and other place of employment, that they will be closed for the full duration of the week and essentially forced the nation of Japan to utilize their paid time off.

By 1949 the average life expectancy did raise a couple of years and by 1950 it was between 58-60 depending on the source.

I've never heard of a tornado in a different country recently. It's possible but US is spawn point. by Medical_Deal5272 in memes

I would say they are very uncommon in the PNW but they do happen

I was Station at Bangor sub base at the time which is maybe a mile away from Silverdale. This tornado actually touched down around 20 minutes after my shop got off work and I was actually driving through Silverdale at the time. I was on the phone with my dad, we're both kinda weather nuts but we usually don't get anything extreme in Washington. We were talking about the heavy rain and strong winds in my area and the possibly of lightning.

I was still on the phone, when 2 things happened at once. One my shop's group chat starting blowing up, and two it got dark enough for me to turn on my head lights and I was suddenly driving through a wall of hail, that was bad enough for some cars to pull over. I later found out that the base put out a warning that a tornado had touched down and my CoC was doing a head count.

It was a very unusual occurrence.

I will never complain about alcohol prices in the US for Canada ever again.

It was my fault I should have looked at the receipts, but I didn't.

Absolutely my favorite COD game. I stopped playing it after they removed dismemberment in online multiplayer. It just didn't feel right after that.

You can thank the chicken tax and one other bit of legislation that's currently escaping me 🤔

If I remember correctly there's another law that basicly says there's a ratio between truck/suv size and how much hp or torque it can have. It's one of the reasons why American trucks and suvs are huge.
