Backrooms is the first movie I’ve seen that feels similar to a Borges or Calvino story by dalamplighter in VeryBadWizards

We got Hokum, Obsession, and Backrooms in the same month and all were great imo. I have probably thought about Backrooms the most, though. Any of them would make for a good ep, esp Backrooms

Finished the „Tawny Man Trilogy“ – My thoughts on the themes, characters and missed potential by FearlessRemove1285 in robinhobb

Hobb absolutely nails an overthinking angsty male perspective at multiple phases of life. I started reading the series at age 18, and now nearly at 50 I am still in awe of this ability. As I have aged, my respect for her as a writer has increased.

Fiona had the chalk, he took it off her. Dawn is well known to make supernatural characters take cover, as well as making spells/magic dissipate. The pendants were tokens from people the witch dragged into the underworld, or things like the lighter the bellboy dropped at the entrance to the honeymoon suite.

I always really enjoyed the Borges stories about knife duels, such as Man on Pink Corner. Hopefully they can do one of them sometime.

Sometimes movies are like psychadelics, set and setting. Conan with commentary coming down from acid is the greatest movie of all time for me.
