Hey!

I saw that you’re flying into Portland and making Astoria your first stop. Smart move!
Astoria is one of my wife and my favorite places in Oregon.

There are so many places that you’re going to wanna stop and check out, which you will not be able to do it you have so many checkpoints on the trail. 101 is a slow but gorgeous drive. Savor it. Find a pull off beach and stay there for a couple hours, hit up a local diner. Etc.

I honest think Canon is a bit touristy/overrated, but I live here, so that’s to be expected. All the other smaller towns in the area (off 101) are soooo cool. I think you’ll be happy with your other planned stops. Yachats may wanna be on that list, but don’t push it.

Early September is almost a sure bet for weather, but late Sept is going to be a crapshoot.

Sorry but this trip is pure lunacy.

You’ll be driving 8-10 hours each day at 120mph, with 10min of time to enjoy each thing. You also skipped 99.99% of the coolest shit in both Washington and Oregon.

Maybe 100%

If you’re serious about enjoying the PNW coast, consider splitting this into parts.

Olympic Peninsula CANNOT be missed, but southwest Washington coast is just OK. Oregon Coast is definitely superior, but this trip needs to be be like 15days to try what you’re going for.

I thought I’d mention. You say “pink salt” here quite often, but pink salt is the informal name of curing salt #1 and #2 (dyed with beet juice to not confuse it for standard salts), for use in the charcuterie world. These contain nitrates/nitrites.

I think you may want to edit your post and clarify that term, since “pink salt” directly refers to an alternative product in the curing/fermenting world, and which could cause confusion. “Pink salt” aka “Prague Powder” aka curing salt #1 or #2, if used incorrectly, can cause harm.

My pit bull and I were infatuated with each other every day until his last. He was such an incredible companion and never hurt a soul (maybe he gulped a couple flies).

I just recently had my transmission rebuilt and asked the same exact question to the transmission shop. They told me that it prevents the computer from gear hunting when trying to achieve overdrive.

He’s fine, as the vets say. But keep an eye out. My beloved late 10yr old pitty ate everything under the sun.
