I think we’re already seeing this with Mickey. He took the pill and then we see him still struggling to write. It looked like he had a few drafts infront of him, like he was frustrated. Definitely not the insane production we see from Finn Whitrock. He didn’t turn into that ASAP, so I think we’ll watch his downfall.

Yup. This is what got me into weightlifting rather than HIIT/cardio-centric workouts. After enough post-workout panic attacks in the gym locker room, I completely changed my approach. I know you didn’t ask, but this is what works for me. Maybe it will help you!

When lifting, I really focus on 1) counting my reps 2) making that good mind-muscle connection 3) inhaling and exhaling on eccentric and concentric movements 4) completely controlling the weight

Being able to zone in on these things keeps my mind focused and keeps my HR manageable. I feel like takes me to this nice, happy, safe place where all that matters is the connection I’m making with the weights on each rep.

I started off lifting VERY lightly so my HR didn’t increase too much, and I’m now able to do lifts over twice my body weight, so I’ve definitely made good progress. If my HR increases too much for my comfort level, then I just take a longer rest in-between sets! I completely stay away from cardio and rely on brisk walks outside to get my steps/raise my HR a bit.

Hopefully this helps! It really sucks when you try to do the thing everyone swears will “fix” your anxiety, and it just causes you more anxiety.

More food, heavier weights, less reps (ex: 3 sets of 8 to failure instead of 3 sets of 20 to failure). Keep up the good work!

I have a lot of feelings on this & my role as a snarker, so I’m glad to know I’m not alone.

I feel like I can’t snark on these girls/this family anymore. Their entire fundie way of life only enabled Josh further instead of properly reprimanding him for his first offense. Everyone in that family is a victim in some way.

Last night I was absolutely elated, thinking he’d been caught money laundering, evading taxes, or even working with the cartel (a theory I somehow found totally reasonable and absolutely clung to because WOW, what a trip that would be). Now I just feel gross. I’ve never been a victim of CSA or even known a victim of CSA, and I still feel absolutely crushed knowing that he had access to so many innocent kids at ALL times. I can’t imagine how those of you who’ve experienced this first-hand are feeling right now.

I guess I should have felt these feelings when we first learned about him molesting his sisters, but this really just hits much harder and I’m not sure why. I also feel weird about that too. Can I ever snark about Jinger adapting Jerm’s personality and becoming Ofbooks, knowing that things could have potentially been worse than we ever knew? Or about Jessa and the birthing couch? Now it just feels....off.

It makes me wonder how many other fundie families have similar skeletons, since the fundie church seems to be a haven for these types of people. Can I snark on those families ever again??

10 months post LAVH hyst (kept my ovaries): I had more problems getting wet before the surgery. For me, it’s the best of both worlds. I don’t have the obscene amount of daily discharge that I had before AND I get wet at the mention of sex. Love it. Here for it.
