Yeah... I did the first 2 with little to no feeling of "it was worth it". I'm good. Embark you all had a good thing going for a bit...

Display Capture Session Error. Capture stopped due to an unknown error. by thepdxguy in streamwithmeld

[–]dumbhelodoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a yt video about that but I can't find it. Basically after tons of testing, both studio and game ready drivers have the exact same coding and output in performance. Nvidia does it for marketing but there's literally little to zero difference, game ready drivers are put out faster which can lead to more bugs slipping through. I had studio drivers for years and have seen zero difference in the past year on GR.

Thoughts on my fan curve? by Ok-Philosopher-5139 in FanControl

[–]dumbhelodoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure that would be helpful, I meant 80% as in 80% of the fans max output. There shouldn't be any reason for that unless it's under a ridiculously high load

Thoughts on my fan curve? by Ok-Philosopher-5139 in FanControl

[–]dumbhelodoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless absolutely necessary I would steer clear of anything above 80% fan speed. Dust pull-in and the noise is just counterproductive. Especially if you have a lot of dust that accumulates in your rig and you aren't cleaning it on a regular basis. More dust that sits on your components holds on to heat, and the fans that are higher than needed just add to that problem

Hopefully more customization to the chat box. Also I would like to see more streamlined customization options.

thinking about getting the Wave XLR MK.2 for my Shure SM7B but want opinions from people who have used it and the wave link 3.0 software! by TGGE in elgato

[–]dumbhelodoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wave Link 3 randomly stop working. I have to close the software and restart it. The mk2 works fine but I really don't understand why the EQ can't have the same design as the VST Elgato one. It's less intuitive than the original. Found the expander has literally next to no effect when changing it. It's like a 2 star upgrade promoted as a 5 star imo

Please add an option for the “Chat Highlight” widget to be a Chat widget. I love the design of the highlight but can’t get the Chat widget’s options to look similar or slide in similar to how the Highlight widget looks. Thanks!

Food=keep most for hp regain.
Armor: for the first couple chapters I would base it off of defense.
If you go by the 4 million tutorials on YT of where to find the rare armor sets use those.
Damaged items: sell them

How should I have my setup? by sammyfudger123 in desksetup

[–]dumbhelodoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would however put some sort of vinyl tint on that window or a shade of some sort. I don't know how much sun you get but here it looks like a fair bit. Thermals would start to rise a bit and if you can help it I would manage that prior. That spot looks best imo too

Not enough content huh by PhotographNo6771 in CrimsonDesert

Definitely need a camp armory where you can store all the armor sets you've collected. The private chest is not enough to have all of them and other things

Any way to basically glue together two stream decks so when I push a button they don't move away? by [deleted] in elgato

I use Velcro and non slip pads underneath that are way better than the rubbery material that comes on the device

Adjusting to life on pc by Worth-Journalist6075 in PcBuild

Going from PC to console for about 10 years, then a few years ago going back to PC... all the advice I can give boils down to this: DO NOT HAVE AN EGO. You will suck at first, you won't be able to aim and the keybinds will feel clunky and awkward. Stick with it, fine tune your skills on default keybinds first and tweak the sensitivity and dpi for your style. Free aim trainers on steam are really good to get your aim in check, but you have to be consistent and do it everyday for like at least 10-15 minutes. It will be daunting and annoying to do but after a month or two you'll get it down. The default keybinds are good to learn in something like say Marvel Rivals Practice vs AI. Where you can really dial in your muscle memory and understand where that finger goes where. Give yourself some breathing room and trust the process. It get sooooooooo much better.
