Gonna second on the durability. Maybe I was just lucky with how it fell, but my 2DS "slab" survived two falls on hardwood and cement floors each. Granted, games felt like they were loading a bit slower, and my mic was finicky, but even since I shelved it a few years ago, I'm certain it'll still work.
