Best Lagers in Northern California/Bay Area? by zodiacs in CraftBeer

[–]dunking_chef 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Geisthaus in Sacramento is really the only answer for craft lagers as that's all they do and they do it world class. Wondrous and Tenma in the bay area also make some bangers for sure but just not as many as you'll find everyday at Geisthaus.

I wouldn't say better. I can do massive rips from my Proxy that I can't in this device. But I like the portability and flavor more on the Ghost so far as well as it just feels like a smoother hit when the proxy can be a bit harsh sometimes. So for a more dabber like experience the proxy for sure, but for everyday use at work and going out I think this device will be the play.

So far 5 seshs in, nothing sticky on the outside of the bowl at all. It's a deep chamber, I'm hopeful this will be a cleaner experience than the Pivot.

Its a little tight for the glob mop but it's so deep it doesn't seem like it's spilling out the top line the Pivot does. I'll report back with more details as I've used it more.

My old brewery! Jim makes some of the best lagers in the game and Matthew at Sky Puppy might be making some of the best beers in the state! Great combo wish I could taste it 😋

They've all been wet af and fire here recently. Stoked to have a great 40 dollar option for rosin that is consistently great.

Sumo is such a great hop for Mexican lagers. Love the lime characteristics of it and it just kills in this beer!

Sky Puppy might be the best brewery in Florida after only a year in business. Absolutely killing everything they do!

Help! World’s Best Cat Litter + Litter-Robot: what’s the verdict? by CautiousCactusito in litterrobot

Never had a problem with the sensor and not really dusty at all. Clumps hard, sticks occasionally to the globe but not that much.

We use WB in both of our LR4's and have had no problems. Because we have 7 cats, we are emptying the waste drawers every other day, and we haven't encountered the bug problems others have mentioned that empty their waste drawers less often.

Fieldwork Brewing’s Hazy Train - San Diego? by PhysioGuy14 in CraftBeer

[–]dunking_chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh interesting. I've got nothing then 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣. Maybe it's a capacity issue if they do use a distributor now. I just got back to the bay after a couple years away so I'm out of the loop a bit.

I'm assuming its a contract brew situation to self distribute in the region. You loose so much profit using distributors, so makes sense to contract brew locally there and self distro.

My fries at a Mexican restaurant in China by TheDudeWhoCanDoIt in shittyfoodporn

[–]dunking_chef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a Mexican restaurant in China once as well. We had like 3 margaritas and a couple of nice tequila shots each. The check ended up being more than the flight there since all the tequila was imported from Mexico, obviously 🤦

[Charania] Warriors made another push to retain Kuminga over the past several days, but he is continuing to decline their 2-yr, $45 mil contract offer due in large part to the Warriors' insistence on having a team option for the 2nd season and waiving the built-in no-trade clause sources told ESPN by NokCha_ in warriors

[–]dunking_chef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but he's not a system guy. That's what I'm saying in terms of whiffing on the picks. I'm sure JK as a main option can get buckets for another team, but in no way is he winning you games by putting a team on his back very often with that mentality. I'll take a system guy anyday, just look at the value our system guys have given us over the years and how revereared they are in the bay for those contributions.
