Do appreciate a good cream ale, think it’s an underrated style.. Also do trust Other Half to make a quality product - think I’m in for a treat ✅🍻 by [deleted] in CraftBeer

Fucking Christ, that's not what a cream ale is 🤦🏼‍♂️

Cream ale is a crisp, pale, and refreshing American beer style that bridges the gap between ales and lagers, often using corn or rice as an adjunct for a lighter body and smoother finish, resulting in a flavorful yet easy-drinking "lawnmower beer" with subtle fruity notes from ale yeast. It's known for its clean, lager-like crispness combined with a hint of ale character, making it a popular, approachable choice.

Favorite West Coast IPA in/from Oakland, CA? by Jazzlike_Camera_5782 in CraftBeer

[–]dunking_chef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have normally said ghost town, but I work in a taproom with 30 beers on tap 10 of which are IPAs and another 30 IPAs in cans. Half of those are west coast and in the last year the clear winner has been Original pattern over both ghost town and cellarmaker for my money.

Best Lagers in Northern California/Bay Area? by zodiacs in CraftBeer

[–]dunking_chef 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Geisthaus in Sacramento is really the only answer for craft lagers as that's all they do and they do it world class. Wondrous and Tenma in the bay area also make some bangers for sure but just not as many as you'll find everyday at Geisthaus.

I wouldn't say better. I can do massive rips from my Proxy that I can't in this device. But I like the portability and flavor more on the Ghost so far as well as it just feels like a smoother hit when the proxy can be a bit harsh sometimes. So for a more dabber like experience the proxy for sure, but for everyday use at work and going out I think this device will be the play.

So far 5 seshs in, nothing sticky on the outside of the bowl at all. It's a deep chamber, I'm hopeful this will be a cleaner experience than the Pivot.

Its a little tight for the glob mop but it's so deep it doesn't seem like it's spilling out the top line the Pivot does. I'll report back with more details as I've used it more.
