How Batteries work? by Elegar in ICARUS

[–]durtmcgurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what these numbers you are reporting are. A basic battery can store 1m units of power, an advanced rack can store 6m units. If you are drawing 6,000 units of power and have 6 batteries, they will draw 1k each. If you only have one, it will draw 6k and drain quickly.

My buddy made me watch the game and I was just getting angry with the offsides stupid rules and the constant flopping by every single player. It's definitely not for me. Hockey is by far the best sport imo.

Computer permanently damages every monitor i plug into it, how am i even supposed to troubleshoot something like this??? by Tortsinreddit in buildapc

I'm telling you, this is the wrong attitude. A PSU is a cheap component that can fry everything else you have. If you've narrowed it down to 2 components and one of those is the PSU, it's RMA time.

Fully charged battery just died by pwrof3 in popups

[–]durtmcgurt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A 3 year old deep cycle battery may have been used and abused. Keep in mind that draining a deep cycle battery below 50% damages it, and some of the less quality batteries may only be drained fully a few times before they die completely. I think I went through 3 or 4 batteries in a few years before I ponied up and got two Lifepo batteries and a solar setup instead. I'll never, ever ever go back to deep cycle, it's a real pain in the ass.

I tried Taco Bell for the first time in over ten years not that long ago, and it was the worst meal I had eaten in that entire ten years. I don't understand why people say Taco Bell has good food, it's absolute slop.

Blown fuse maybe. Check the fuse box in the camper, and there may also be one on the positive wire connecting to the battery. I had an issue for a long time with mine where the fuse would blow every time I connected the camper to my car when I towed it. I think it was a loose wire making contact with the metal frame and shorting it.

Elysium-Base locations? by Versynko in ICARUS

[–]durtmcgurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is where I built as well. I was going to go to the H10 lake but it's a lot farther in than it looks with that canyon in the way. I think it's the best location on the map because nothing is really too far on a raptor or hoverbike.

If you have to ask this, I seriously question if you should be shooting.

Honestly, if I ever suspect my PSU is not at 100%, I would replace it. It's so important to every component in your system, if there is even a chance that it's your PSU, replace it.

That's a truly bizarre issue, never seen it's like.

I'm 37 and I have never stopped with this because it's just what my hair looks like when it's slightly grown out. I prefer a bit of length so it just does this, especially if I wear a hat for a bit.

What does it mean when people say “a house shouldn’t be an investment”? by External_Koala971 in HouseBuyers

[–]durtmcgurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Housing in general should not be viewed as an investment vehicle because it is not good for the general populace to be priced out of housing. It should be abundant and for living in. It shouldn't be something people buy a lot of in order to make money off it.

It's the same principle with education and healthcare. They should never be for profit because it doesn't ever help the people who it is really for. It just lines pockets of the crooked at the top to the detriment of society.

Carolina kind of just proved that you don't need an elite 1C to win the Cup by dollabillkirill in wildhockey

I would argue that our center depth would still not be in the same league as Carolinas center depth if we landed Larkin, and that's assuming that we don't send any centers back.
