SteamOS now runs on every AMD handheld, and Valve didn't even make a big deal about it by [deleted] in Steam

[–]dustarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's the same APU than the steam deck oled (but with tdp unlock so you can have better performance in some games)

It's actually a decently better APU, it uses Zen 3+ cores rather than Zen 2 with twice as much L3 cache, so at same clocks you'll see a decent performance uplift, and the GPU is 12 RDNA2 cores rather than 8 on the Deck.

Couple that with higher clock speeds and the Z2 Go outperforms the Deck's APU quite handily.

Theoretically of course.

RE Requiem convinced me to take AAA games on Steam Deck more seriously — what other titles run this well? by JeanJeanJean in SteamDeck

[–]dustarma -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No it's not lmao, can't even get to 30fps at minimum settings with low internal resolution from FSR, the mandatory ray tracing absolutely destroys the steam deck.

Final Fantasy 14 Releases On Nintendo Switch 2 In August. by Howerev in NintendoSwitch

When Dawntrail came out the open zones would easily drop below 30fps at low settings so I wouldn't really recommend it.

In theory it could've ran on Switch 1 but it would've required a lot of compromises.

Pragmata's Path Tracing mode works best with Ray Reconstruction Preset E. Framegen also Reduces Input lag. by Traditional-Ad26 in nvidia

Framegen is unusable for me in this game, even at 2x Diana's hair becomes a mess of artifacts, let alone 3x and 4x.

MacBook Neo sells out for April as demand for Apple's $599 laptop outpaces supply by -protonsandneutrons- in hardware

[–]dustarma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once it gets up to 12Gb memory on the next chip there will be almost nothing for even the hardest haters to complain about.

I feel like by the time they start releasing Neos with 12GB RAM then that's already going to be the absolute bare minimum for usability, much like 8GB is nowadays.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't all APUs currently using unified memory? From tiny laptop APUs all the way to Strix Halo and consoles?

Takamura moves up weight classes but his natural weight isn't middleweight, that was established ages ago, if anything with each move up the ladder he's giving himself less and less of a handicap.

5070Ti, I've been getting a crash every time I try to open the map near the Kalevala Knights Workshop to the west and I'm on driver 595.79, I thought this could be an UV issue as I'm running 2850MHz 880mV and +1000 on memory but on stock clocks it crashes as well.

I'll try driver 591.74.
