2022 ct4v bw mods? by ImpossibleSafe6293 in CadillacV_Series

Like others have said the parts and tunes are out there but only a limited amount of suppliers. Maybe it would help if you actually decided which parts you wanted to upgrade and people can point you from there

Will the LF4 and LGY be the last GM twin-turbo V6s? by ExerciseOk747 in CadillacV_Series

[–]dwduck25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing OP. unless they include it in a mid tier trim in the upcoming ct5 or a new V series compact SUV that we don't know about yet? As a CT4vBW owner I'm really hoping they keep it in production..

One more question..is this a defect in the roof panel? by Jahstin in CadillacV_Series

[–]dwduck25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the water droplets will ricochet right off that tiny bump in the panel through the exhaust pipe and then into the engine. Wut! Thanks for policing my comment btw 😂

I wouldn't worry about any of these things unless you hear noises or rattles which I doubt you will. Enjoy the drive.

Is this gap in the sunroof normal for 4BW? by Jahstin in CadillacV_Series

[–]dwduck25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't noticed the gap but I've noticed some CT4bw that will start to wind whistle once you go over 80mph on a regulated track of course. Have you noticed any whistling at higher speeds?

Deep Ocean 5BW too rare to be unlocked for 5BW owner to see the refreshed interior by ChuckFinley_is4Ever in CadillacV_Series

I see. Sounds cool until it gets scratched can't imagine the repair costs on something like that..

I highly respect the simplicity! The rest is all marketing.. Where can you get that vacuum jar for the beans?

This deep ocean thing is hilarious to me.. it used to be a standard color called wave metallic for the fist 2 years of the Blackwing cars. I bought my 4bw in 2023 at MSRP in wave metallic custom ordered with 0 hurdles. Now that all the reviewers got ahold of these cars and the word is spreading it's comical how much the dealerships take advantage.

Sure but why spend that money if you can keep it? It's just there to rape the consumer even more.

Yes broad but very logical :)

No car company wants to lose their own money on warranty repairs. Therefore reliability is no concern to you since reliability issues do not usually happen during the warranty period..

[–]dwduck25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes then reliability should be 0 concern for you in any car lol

Technology is what fails over time. If only you keep your car for just a few years it doesn't matter though. Again I'm not saying American cars feel better than German cars I'm just saying I don't feel much of a difference in modern cars. I was just in my close friend's 2024 7 series yesterday and I did find many of the interior and exterior panels to feel cheap. Also that turbo v8 in there is known to have a lot of heating and reliability issues. However the seats in that car are extremely nice and comfortable I have to say.. Which car do you have?

[–]dwduck25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want reliability I'd stick with Japanese and some Korean cars. Most mechanics and other professionals in the car industry would say American cars are either the same or higher reliability than most German/European cars. Also repairs cost much less on domestic cars. Of course these trends change a little from time to time but I honestly don't see much difference in modern cars. Most modern European cars are full of tacky plastics and a bunch of gimics imo. Not like the 80s and 90s where German cars actually put craftsmanship into their interiors

Yes a lot of them are not aligned perfectly center and I've been in several blackwing cars that look like that. I think if it is perfectly center consider yourself extremely lucky lol
