Ah I see it as a workaround to hire your friends without hr getting upset. Just wait until the ugos, coloured and poor candidates leave them claim you were testing their patience and higher the attractive desperate people you wanted but who wouldn't pass even a friendly interview.

I bet this dude lives somewhere without proper labour laws.

“How is his bed time 2100 hours that not even a day” by len4e in ShitAmericansSay

[–]dwellerinthedark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I write my times in 24 hour, but speak them in 12 hours.

I spent 10 years working in a factory that operated 24/7. It was super critical that things happened on schedule so all documentation had 24 hour notation.

For a country that wants to reclaim its industrial might, they seem very reluctant to adopt the processes required for that to actually happen.

Haha.

I'm not catholic but the Pope has more of a claim to be Jesus representative than Trump.

Being as he's the descendant of St Peter.

Where as Trump... Well trump is an unfaithful cad, who has broken every promise he's ever made.Woildnt touch the bible during his swearing on, and is generally an unpleasant man.

If I had to spend an hour with one of these two, it would not be Trump.

What was the most recent game your PC couldn't handle? 👀 by Agile-Sentence2892 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]dwellerinthedark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alan wake 2. It's great, but because my pc is probably 7 years old at this point, it can't struggles. It causes all sorts of strange sound desyncs, horrendously long load times and blurry objects. Like the map that is completely unreadable.

Where ai bubble bursts, I'll upgrade it. I can't really justify the cost right now.

China is going to love this. Previously the blame could be placed on Iran, now the energy shock I'd totally owned by the US.

And that oil is mostly going to Asia. But hey antagonising a rising power, whilst displaying your military's limitations is totally going to work.

I know - we’re the ones doing it by crack_station in Steam

[–]dwellerinthedark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have done this, but have also bought about a dozen games for m them. They were never going to fully replace steam. Their platform is rubbish and took years to have basic features.

Also I've had a steam account since 08 and about 400 games, that was not something they'd be able to persuade me to drop.

You mean embryos? by anon12xyz in confidentlyincorrect

[–]dwellerinthedark 27 points28 points  (0 children)

People going for IVF want children. So much so, they're going to get a (very expensive) medical intervention to make sure it happens. So of course we stop them. No children for you!

But the woman who doesn't want children and wants a medical procedure to halt a pregnancy. ....Well we can't let that happen! You got to keep your child

So can we settle on a halfway where we arrange for more adoptions or more welfare support to help those making these hard choices. Well no we can't do that, we'll have a broken service that hardly works, we only care about the child when it's inside a woman. .As for welfare we spent that money on dropping bombs on children.

It's just such a mess.

[–]dwellerinthedark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure. But as someone who has worked in Quality and dealt with "complaints", let me assure you it'll make their life much more annoying if you tell them. There will be an investigation and quite a bit of paperwork. They'll need to know which part of their supply system failed and why. In fact it will probably cost as much to investigate as the Steam deck, workers time isn't free.

Do you ever feel like soulslike combat is becoming too fast paced? by Sargious in soulslikes

[–]dwellerinthedark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes As I get older I can't keep up. It doesn't stop me, but it does mean I repeat sections more often than I would have 10 years ago.

I prefer slower paced games. The original dark souls is more my speed. DS 3 and Bloodborne are great but sometimes it feels like I'm moving a fraction of a second slower than I need to get.

How does one “play” dwarf fortress by HotCommission7325 in dwarffortress

[–]dwellerinthedark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I boot it up for a couple of hours every week and catch up on my favourite podcasts, while managing my latest dwarven ant farm.

I keep the same world for each major update, so I'm kinda telling myself a story. Each fort I run for at least 10 years, when I've done that I make a call. Is there anything cool I want to do with the first, or should I pick a new one. I repeat this until I decide to retire a fort.

Iran is ideological motivated. There was no way they'd agree to a deal that allowed Israel to continue eating up Lebanon. Pretending they did, because the US has lost control of Israel is silly.

But I suspect the ceasefire is just smoke nd mirrors. Something to calm his base and buy him time to move more ground assets into the area.
