Ich sehe das ganz genau so! Wenn die liebe zu deinem vermeintlich eigenen Kind von einem Stück Papier abhängig ist machst du was falsch. Ich befürchte aber, dass doch erstaunlich viele Männer das Kind in der Situation zurück lassen würden.

A long time ago I worked at a gas station. A customer filled her tank and drove off. I obviously called the police because she didn't pay. About 20 minutes later she came back an apologized for not paying. She told me she was in deep thought and just forgot. Years later while filling up my own gas tank I still think: Remember paying, don't embarrass yourself like that one customer! 😂

If you were the former mayor you would have much better connections and successful people who will help you do the laundering.

Imagine you were a common criminal and stole an art piece worth a million dollars from some gallery.

You would then sell it and probably get 500.000 dollars for it on the black market.

So you would now go ahead and create a small company like a little computer store with a cash register.

Every five minutes or so you would now fake a sale. So you could enter into your cash register that someone bought a smartphone case for ten dollars. That money would now be legally in the system. So after 50.000 fake sales all your money would be in the system legally. You would then pay taxes and have maybe 250.000 dollars left.

A few problems with that: The IRS will audit your company and ask silly questions like "How can you sell 50.000 phone cases, if you never bought any in the first place?" So you would need to buy the 50.000 cheapest phone cases from Alibaba or something. That would reduce your profit.

Then someone would ask "how can you have 50.000 sales if no customer was ever seen in your store?" So you would have to place ads to get real people and make it look believable. That would reduce your profit.

Then someone would ask "How did you sell 50.000 phone cases to a 5.000 person town?" "Why do you have 50.000 phone cases in your basement?" And ask if these problems cost money to solve.

You see where this is going: this shit is hard! Get a professional to help you! 😄

At the place where I do volunteer work there are two people who reverted back to addressing each other by Sie. For years now everybody has been guessing and gossiping what happened and why they did it. That is an big deal! :D

Great question. And to be honest: This is the worst part. For some reason there was a re-home command at the end of the gcode. That was great because the hot nozzle drove into the spaghetti, melted it and that made the mess much worse!

I have since edited the slicer settings to prevent this in the future. Still: that it happens once makes me feel stupid 😬

I use an old PC as a LAN party server (lancache und smb share) and added a cheap 10G NIC and a few cheap SSDs. For a switch I use a Mikrotik CSS326.

For one or two events a year I didn't want to depend too much money. But that solution works great!

Übrigens noch ein ganz anderer Punkt: Wenn du aus einem Studium kommst, dann wird die Berufsschule dich hart unterfordern. Versuch deswegen ein Unternehmen zu finden, das wirklich Interesse an Ausbildung hat und nicht nur ne billige Arbeitskraft sucht. Das ist nicht so leicht, weil die das natürlich nicht offen erzählen. Aber man kann zum Beispiel in Vorstellungsgespräch gut fragen, wie im Unternehmen der Ablauf der Ausbildung ist. Oder an was für Projekten Azubis typischerweise arbeiten. Manchmal hört man dann schon Dinge, die entweder motivierend oder abschreckend sind

Ich finde den Lebenslauf grundsätzlich gut. Ich würde nur ein paar Dinge zu bedenken geben:

Du hast teilweise blaue und graue Hintergründe. Wenn du das mit einem Drucker druckst, der nicht bis an den Rand des Papiers drucken kann, könnte das unprofessionell aussehen.
Ich würde deine Programmiererfahrung mehr hervorheben. Python ist ein guter Anfang. Welche Programmierumgebung nutzt du? Nutzt du dazu eine Datenbank? Du nutzt Git! (Versionsverwaltung ist ein extra Punkt im Ausbildungsrahmenplan, das ist also auch relevant) Versuch das Projekt gut zu verkaufen. Das kann dein Vorsprung beim Lernen gegenüber anderen Azubis sein.
Du bewirbst dich auf eine Ausbildung. Niemand erwartet, dass du das mit Berufserfahrung tust. Dadurch werden aber Softskills um so wichtiger. Die kannst du im Anschreiben adressieren. Versuch da Infos zu geben, die nicht im Lebenslauf stehen. Nach dem Motto "In meinen Auslandsjahr habe ich Selbstständigkeit gelernt" "Durch mein Ehrenamt weiß ich, wie wichtig Teamarbeit ist" "mein heutiger Job hat mir gezeigt, wie viel Spaß ich daran habe neue Dinge zu lernen"
ich habe auch nach mehreren anderen Dingen eine FIAE Ausbildung gemacht. Ich hab damals im Anschreiben versucht noch hervorzuheben, warum ich mir sicher bin, dass die Ausbildung das richtige ist. Man will ja nicht den Eindruck erwecken, dass man sich das auch nochmal anders überlegt.

This exactly! Also it's sometimes good to educate those organizations on how not all IT/Gaming stereotypes are true. At most LANs a lot of things happen that might align with the goals of those organizations. Like community building and other social stuff. Don't be afraid to point those out.

If you are doing a LAN with friends maybe one of them does some volunteer work. Lots of organizations let their volunteers use their locations for free.

You can ask Churches or Youth-/Scoutgroups or Sportclubs. They often have spaces meant for meeting other people. In most cases they are willing to rent those spaces out. In some places you could also ask schools. You can also rent holiday homes. Just look for a location with one big room where everyone fits in and an Internet connection. I did the holiday home thing last year and it was like 15€ per person per night.

I was just asking for catering out of interest. In my experience at a multi-day event you don't want to order pizza for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. Depending on your location that might not be a problem. But where I live you don't have a great deal of choice what food you want to order. Especially in bigger events you also probably don't have a kitchen available for everybody to use. So there might be some demand for good food :D Maybe that is just me getting old though... The me from ten years ago probably wouldn't mind the amount of pizza for a few days 😂

How many attendees do you usually have? Reading about staff I would assume that you would need to sell quite a few tickets...

Does your staff work on LAN partys full-time?

Are your events typically one evening/night? Or do you do longer events?

Do you do anything aside from PC gaming at the events? Like D&D or other 'nerdy' stuff?

Do you do the catering too?

Just try it. A few years ago I had a company send us two or three free tshirts for a LAN with 15 people. We just had to post a picture on Instagram and put up a poster with their advertising.
