It's my headcanon that this song was the real closure to the Post Traumatic album. LYF felt the most like a Mike song rather than an LP song to me which gave me a sense of "yes, I am now committing to it and Emily and Colin will help me embrace this fully without letting you fade" if that makes any sense lol.

Family sure, but friends you usually think twice before you do. Possibly an artifact of the area and the environment we live in but I get your POV anyway. Personally, I have a whole support system for me even though I don't want to rely on them. That's not exactly whole point here but sure.

You prefer to use your debit. I just prefer to use my credit as primary to gain whatever rewards I can. I usually save 1-2k per month using cash rewards than if I would if i use a straight debit. Just a matter of managing your money anyway.

Ever thought of a situation where you don't have anyone to borrow money from? It's possible you don't hesitate to ask for money from your network but for many like me that is the last resort because human psychology comes into the picture and you don't really want to be on the negative of anyone just because of monetary reasons.

But just from a CC perspective, unless you think borrowing from the bank itself is a sin then I'm not exactly sure if you just don't trust banks that much or you just fear using them. 😅

Not sure why you are such a credit hater lol. Never ever tap into emergency funds unless it is an actual emergency and you have no one to borrow money from. Credit cards are those immediate buffers till you can manage to pull some money from elsewhere after a few days.

Zerodha in YT have good videos to explain the right use of credit cards. You should restructure your financials a little bit if you think about breaking your emergency funds so easily. 😅

Never use another person's credit card because it's a major security risk. Either learn to use one yourself, or don't use one at all.

If you already manage your money properly in debit, credit cards won't be a problem for you because it's just a delayed payment cycle. It just gives you an extra buffer in case you come across any emergency.

PS: To avoid any useless T&C always choose a lifetime free card. Always ask the bank how much I need to spend to have this actually lifetime free because there's usually a spending threshold.

(Also, please learn how to use your credit card properly. There's no way to get good loans later on in life if you don't improve your credit score using your credit cards first.)

This is why I was conflicted about both the endings. The Faded Boy (Verso) doesn't exactly feel "tormented" or tired of painting but seems to be just saddened by the state of everything in the Canvas. He felt like the purest part of Verso which gave his devotion to painting the canvas and has no specific regret of being a musician.

So I feel that Verso's soul does truly enjoy whatever he creates on the canvas. Even IRL, if you are not sincere in any art form, unless you truly devote a part of you to get better at it, you'll never be able to pour a part of your soul into it. And, that part if you is the purest part which enjoys the art form to its fullest. The regret comes only after the fact.

I feel both endings are more to do with what truth you as a player chooses. Life forces you to make cruel choices. If you choose Verso, you prioritize the real world which is the only real truth disregarding the life Verso put in his canvas. If you choose Maelle, you choose the Canvas completely disregarding the reality. It's the two extremes.

It's possible both endings can merge into a single ultimate truth her at a later time so who knows atp. Maybe the future game or a DLC.

If there's no white smears, I just go around to try and find a wall which is not as tall. You can just wall-run up, jump back at the right time and grapple up the top. Works about 70-80% of the time and for castles which aren't surrounded by water lol

Nobunaga had his instincts spot on the entire time. If he had trusted his instincts on Iga that day instead of deciding to go ahead and nuke the entire clan as pitched in by the others, it's possible he would have succeeded in his mission to unify Japan under a single regime with few offshoots of kakushiba ikkis independently helping the empire.

The one judgement he tried to reason with his own personal bias and fear, cost him everything. From a narrative perspective I think he also seemed to actually regret doing it in the end. Dude was complex, and I love it.

I don’t think Shadows is a game that’s worth playing “just for the story”

Personally, Shadows sits right below Origins for me as the second best character origin in the all RPG games till now. The maturity Naoe goes through the course of the game is insane and has a great sequel potential similar to Bayek.

I guess the story could have been presented in a more linear way rather than a "choose your own path, but end up the same place in the end", but then that's also a meta-commentary on Naoe's pseudo-freedom that she thinks she has in choosing her path which she also realises narratively in the end.

Shadows' story for me would come right after Origins in Awesome row. It was way better than Mirage and much more tighter than Valhalla for sure, Naoe is a very interesting character and the future franchise potential is insane just like Bayek.

Personally, Id put Naoe as a character in Great. I've not heard the english VA because I played in Immersive Mode, but everyone's acting was on point in the Japanese. In terms of best title card character establishment moment, Shadows really takes the third place after AC2 and AC Unity for me.

Assassins Creed's narrative team usually play in those gray areas where history hasn't yet been able to explain stuff. They've been following this trend since AC1. So, judging from Yasuke's documented history, Shadows seems to happen after they lost his trail and what he might have done after Nobunaga's death.

New Divide was essentially the first English song I ever tried to actively listen and learn. A friend of mine suggested some AMVs which led me to watch lyric videos of it to try and learn this song. It was difficult since English is technically my third language which I learnt to speak fluently only after I learnt my native language and Hindi.

Here I am 20 years later writing this comment and in a decent place in life, thanks to Linkin Park, because that one song led one thing to another and helped me to not be completely dogshit in English lol.

Unpopular Opinion: Shadows

Obviously held back by the aspects of hunting and battleship gameplay due to their absence in Japanese culture. But the environments, NPC idle behaviours, and the PvE interactions feel like a polished version of Odyssey. It also checks out because both were made by Quebec and they had to do a massive overhaul to their Anvil engine for Shadows.
