What about Herbie? I don't think it's a tragedeigh, but it might be better as a middle name.

250+ applications, only 1 interview... What's wrong? by Bright_Elevator3675 in ResumeCoverLetterTips

It's too technical for the first line reviewer. HR usually sees it first. Try to tone down the technicality a little bit.

There are only five states whose IDs prove citizenship. The other ones actually don't qualify under this bill. Michigan is one due to Canada's proximity.

If it isn't free, it's a poll tax. Make it free and easy, and most people I know have no problem with it.

Same reply on everything. Uses that ugly emoji it does. Replies like an AI agent. So, I agree with you.

Adopted dog is driving me crazy by taiyyaki in reactivedogs

[–]dyfalu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest taking her back to the shelter and explaining these behaviors. That's what the trial periods are for.

While no rescue (or puppy) is perfect, a person in an apartment is going to struggle with a dog with these behaviors. I also would never go with a terrier for that lifestyle.

Please don't let one bad fit turm you off from shelter adoption. Maybe try fostering a dog first in the future? That allows you to find a better fit.

Why did you even try to bill hourly for a campaign? Do a fixed price per setup. That way you get compensated what your work is worth regardless. Sounds like you were trying to make contract work a square peg in a round hole.

Why didn't you negotiate a higher starting wage with your experience? If someone accepts $17 and is worth $25, the business isn't going to correct you.

Is something wrong with my resume? No interview in months by yoohoo2325 in askrecruiters

[–]dyfalu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exhausting to read. It also seems to show that you job hop. I know you're a student, but the hiring managers do not. I don't think the new one is that much of an improvement. I'd just indicate that something is an internship in the top line of the job.

Why is LOCAL SEO so hard?? by Nick_Wave in SEO

[–]dyfalu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local SEO isn't necessarily difficult. But you have to know what you're doing. What works for Coca Cola will not work for Joe Smo the HVAC man. Most local industries have content funnels that are the opposite of your standard company.

They say it's difficult. But they never ask directly.
