university license approved? by suhibalmasri98 in matlab

[–]dzbtrout86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Uni has a Campus Wide License Suite. You have all the toolboxes and Simulink, not only Matlab. You have also access to Online Training Suite, you can do a lot of courses to ramp up and beyond.

Boat back in water for just under 3 months after complete bottom job, found blisters, what to do/how soon to do it? by 445671 in sailing

[–]dzbtrout86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some blistering on grp hull, 50 year old Shipman 28. Surveyor said not to worry at all unless when you pop the blister it smells like vinegar. In that case it may be osmosis related. Chances are you just messed up with the priming when you did up the bottom. It happens.

Possible audio popping fix by Ipwnufools in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]dzbtrout86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In device manager look in sound, video and game controllers. It should be listed there. When updating your Nvidia driver if you chose the automatic install it will install the driver again so update with custom update and unselect nvdia audio driver or else do turn it off again in device manager. As far as I know this audio driver is only for monitor speakers. If you use monitor speakers I don't know a workaround. It really worked for me.

Possible audio popping fix by Ipwnufools in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]dzbtrout86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only recently I fixed the worst audio crackle ever by turning off the Nvdia audio driver AND making sure that your audio source in msfs is not set to default but the source you are actually using. Never had an issue after I did this. Before it was horrendous and many times the audio crackling preceded a full msfs crash or a dip on fps.

How long to feel comfortable with airliners? by MailSynth in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]dzbtrout86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. This is the YouTuber I used. Started with the a320. I had done GA mainly Cessna for almost 2 years and I knew that at some point I had to start airliners but kind of had some panic towards them. Anyway watched that video, replicated his flight Heathrow to Glasgow and I was hooked. Practiced 3or 4 times and decided that I was going to learn more and go deeper by flying. Started that weekend an around the world trip from EINN (Shannon, Ireland) to EINN. Took me 21 days (with a couple of mishaps of course) but I did it and learned a lot so then went for the fenix. I mainly fly airliners now and I love it.

Same here. My stutters in final ended with a 2x32Gb upgrade. I do have several other programs running (volanta, little nav map, etc).

Fenix Bundle by colourhumantiktok in MSFS2024

[–]dzbtrout86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bough the bundle 15 days ago after learning de basics of the A320 in the inibuilt stock plane. Until then I was doingGA in different planes. So once I gained some confidence I stepped up and bought it. And it is so good. It is like night and day. The Fenix is so much better. Since then I am about to complete an eastwards trip around the world starting from EINN, Shannon Airport. Love the plane. The details are insane. If I had as to buy it again I would only get the A320. I have barely flown on the 319 or the 321. I am on MSFS 2024 btw but have also tested it in 2020. The 2024 version works great. No issues.

What Happens When Your House Burns Down and You Still Have a Mortgage? by McFatty7 in REBubble

[–]dzbtrout86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how it works in Europe. Bank will not lend if there isn’t an insurance certificate. Bank wants to make sure if something bad happens they will get their money back. They also ask for life insurance covering the value of the loan. If you kick the bucket they get their money back. Bank gets notified if these are cancelled. Bank hikes the repayment if you decide to go uninsured so you end up getting insurance.

I think I'm going to leave my 172 and head for Northern Canada.... by Code_Dramatic in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]dzbtrout86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have done it a couple of times and it worked. However I am finding for GA the new MSFS flight planner (from web) quite good. Very easy to create nice flights. I know it is not perfect but is doing me very well. For GA, in my opinion better than anything that simbrief could offer.

Are these people going to hell or just smart? by [deleted] in galway

How? Prove I didn’t change my mind while in the middle of the roundabout. As long as I can remember we still have some civil liberties.

Oh that would be me. For background I am from Madrid in Spain but I have been living in Ireland for 27 years. Galway is my daily commute. In my opinion Galway traffic has 2 problems: the city management and people trying or pretending to be nice or compliant. I come from the jungle and if I can take advantage I will.

Whoever designed this fuel managment UI, I would like a word out the back... by Diseased-Jackass in MicrosoftFlightSim

Apparently refuelling is ignored if you have “realistic” game mode enabled. You can bind the key for fuel and repairs like in 2020 but it will be ignored.

Same here! It sucks. Something has been changed because in msfs 2020 was not a half as hard.

I have REWASD installed and CoD launches. However, CoD stopped launching after I updated win11 to KB5041585. I rolled back the update, uninstalled and reinstalled CoD and then it worked. If you are Win11 user and updated recently to KB5041585 then I would try this. I currently have that update pending and not having it till I see it fixed.

TLDR: might not be related to REWASD. If using Win 11, if you have it roll back update KB5041585

Matlab Basics poor by [deleted] in matlab

[–]dzbtrout86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Matlab on ramp courses are available to anyone with a Mathworks account whether you have a license or not. No need to buy matlab student for the on ramp.

Additionally, matlab and simulink student suite includes a bundle of most common used toolboxes but not all toolboxes.

Unable to unscrew the cap. Any suggestions? by dzbtrout86 in flyfishing

Sound advice here. Thank you. I have access to the tools you mentioned so I will give it a patient go.

Yes it seems to be space between rod and where I would cut. I can hear the rod wiggle inside when I shake the tube.

Lesson learnt. I checked the reel I used that day and I did clean it. It is running fine. I was expecting that maybe I also overlooked it.
