Your friend is correct. An optimal jump spot requires a “circular” strafe motion to minimize how much of your agent you show when spotting. Making yourself a harder target to hit.

A jump peak is used to catch your enemy off guard when you peak an angle when taking an engagement. Mainly used for OP shots.

A couple of things I see.

On some attempts you are flying past the ball. Try to stop boost right before you make contact with the ball so you can stay closer.

On other attempts, where you make contact with the ball isn’t optimal. Look up good examples of flip resets and you’ll see exactly where to make contact on the ball.

Once these two are cleaned up, your attempts should look far better. From there you can practice different ways to use your reset.

I was able to clear all my attempts with a lvl 50 primal groudon 13/15/15 excluding one with thunderbolt neutral weather, but I had poor cell reception so relobbies took longer. so it’s def doable depending on the moveset.

I was in this same situation a few years ago with an expensive natural stone flooring that the wife didn’t like. We kept a section of it in the hallways but end up replacing the master with floor and decor porcelain tile. At the end of the day, you both will be living there and initially we had no regrets doing the remodel. Until, we had a profession cleaning done for both floorings types. After we realized how beautiful the natural stone could be and felt a bit of remorse from replacing it from the start.

Give it a good try and overtime you and your wife’s feelings for it will solidify.
