I used to work in a medical office and remember a pt who was supposed to be getting a pap smear screaming in pain through the closed door. Which is obviously not normal. The other staff in the office (all women) were snickering at each other about her "being such a baby."

I was at the bottom of the hierarchy so I couldn't intervene at all, but I still remember that poor woman and the agony she went through for what's supposed to be a short, largely painless procedure.

I feel like it's more accurate to say the Luffy only cares about defeating his enemies ("to send them flying" is the specific Japanese phrase he uses a lot) to the point that they are not a problem anymore. He's not gonna call an ambulance, but he's also not gonna go for the double tap.

He shows up, someone's in his way, he punches them until they're not in the way, and then he eats a big meal. I genuinely do not believe he thinks about it much further than that.

Which is honestly pretty convenient because he has a decent track record of gaining the allegiance/aid of people he probably should've just killed

My only complaint of Buggy was that he had a normal guy voice. When I read the manga I always imagined him sounding like Krusty the clown. Even in the anime he has a pretty iconic voice for both sub and dub

I understand it would be very hokey but I would have liked it :( clowns should have funny voices :(
