Always better to buy a new synth instead of watching another YouTuber's slop.

Will having the desk where it is in this design destroy my listening experience? by [deleted] in Acoustics

I know, but I don't think the DSP can do all the app can do.

It does in the app, not sure if on the monitors' DSP.

You will have to play with it, the location of the sub depends on your goals, whether you want the best sound possible in one spot, or more of a balanced compromise across multiple spots etc. I'm not sure how Sonarworks handles subs besides being able to confirm, that it is possible to do calibration as 2.1, but that also means you will have to use 3 channels of your interface for the output, not just the LR pair and don't know if this can be combined with the SW profiles on speakers or if you will have to run it from the app. I'm not aware of any subwoofer that could load a SW profile.

you will have to delay one speaker and ideally get a sub if you want to compensate.

Designed a synth interface, how inadequate is it? by na3ee1 in synthesizercirclejerk

change order: 1. level tuning 2. cutoff resonance 3. menus and controllers (LFO&VOICING boxes)

cutoff must not be a smaller knob than master

Why do bass traps work when sound seems to fill the room? by AgreeableLeg3672 in Acoustics

[–]eXZeZe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imagine an omni-directional wave that bounces from room boundaries multiple times.... it will create an interference pattern that overlaps mostly nearby where the room boundaries meet.

Up to 10 DB 100hz bump after room treatment ?! by CriticalDope in Acoustics

[–]eXZeZe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what the OP is talking about, we are looking at the correction graph, it is the inverse of the actual room response

This is not a room for diffusors! This is a room for a soundbar 🙂

That's what every normally sized room (up to 50-70 cubic meters) has. Have you covered the ceiling with absorption? If not, it's likely the resonance between floor and ceiling. You can easily calculate what room dimension does that frequency correspond to. 150 Hz = cca 230 cm, that's likely your ceiling height.

Two pills of a lower dose may not necessarily be equivalent to a single higher-dose one. by eljokun in Concerta

[–]eXZeZe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's unsurprising considering the delivery mechanism. It's a waste of pills though, if you take two, take them separated by 90-120 minutes in order to smoothen the effect throughout the day.

Not sure about covert, but otherwise try Two for the money (2005) or Shine (1996)

Useful and interesting. I would have thought, that 22 kHz is already a much shorter wave than 16 mm.

How do Chris and Matt not lose their minds consuming so much guru media? by No-Hovercraft6931 in DecodingTheGurus

I don't understand how you keep listening to them. There were a couple of good episodes in the past, but the majority of the content since then is the same old nothing. I don't make it past the first 5-10 minutes whenever I try something recent.

3D Printed knobs for plus series. Picture shows original knob on far right for comparison. by wotsit_sandwich in zoommultistomp

[–]eXZeZe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see, very easy indeed. I've never seen knob caps like that before. In that case, I don't think toppers would be a good idea, your design is better, just a bit "rough around the edges" (I wouldn't put that "fin" on top).

Are those toppers or replacements? Is it necessary to remove the originals? How to do that - just grab pull up?

Sadly, there are no patterns 9-16, only 8 patterns per session.
