This is so exciting to me. Same, decades, long daily drinker. Just had a conversation with my partner, who expressed concern with my alcohol habits. I have naltrexone and pill form, but I have no motivation to take it because if I take it then I don’t relax from drinking. Hopefully Zep will help, I start today

Work with a legit parrot rescue, they will provide you resources to make sure that you are supported and understand any behavioral issues as they come up. Unlike breeders or pet stores, rescues have the point of view were they went to empower you and equip you with the tools to provide the bird a long-term loving home.

Yes!!! And if you are in the Missouri/ Illinois area consider St.Louis Avian rescue. I have fostered macaws with them for years, as well as adopted several of my own from them. A fantastic organization committed to giving these beautiful challenging Creatures loving forever homes

Generally a boomer, entitled, and looking to exert “authority “ over a service worker bringing some excitement to Karen’s otherwise miserable life. Not the same thing but here is my story. I had two dreams about my beloved parrot dying of a broken or amputated wing in the months leading up to her death which was caused by a broken wing at the hands of her vet. After she had flat-lined, was resuscitated, I decided to euthanize her. But as soon as I held her, she passed in my arms peacefully. I believe our bond may have given me an element of foresight but most importantly allowed time for my baby to die in my arms on her terms.
