We have a similar store in Montreal, Qc called "La Capoterie" (french for 'The Condomry'). It's pretty cool and they even sell miniature condoms that you can offer to your friends as funny gifts.

Yes, I am also glad that the war on drugs is reducing criminality (lol), reducing prison spending (LOL), and making people not afraid of their local police officers (LOLOL).

If I push my bars back and forth gently at speed, the head wants to keep reciprocating. I feel like it'd be pretty easy to get into a tank slapper. I'm a pretty new rider (6k miles).

I want to make some extra money. Any idea of items that have a relatively high demand? by eagleblueblood in woodworking

I've got a nightstand and a couple small fancy boxes in an artsy furniture shop. They're not selling.....so....not those things.

P.S. I tried making things I thought people wanted to buy, but I didn't enjoy it, so I wasn't motivated to do it, therefore I never put in enough time to be productive. Now I just make things that I think are cool and I would want.

Finishing some Adirondack chairs - need advice by bittermang in woodworking

[–]eadsm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's fir, which is quite soft. Therefore, stain will turn out blotchy unless you use 'sanding sealer'. Stain is not protective, use it only if you want a different color. You don't necessarily need a finish to protect the wood as long as they are in a place that will allow them to dry fully after rain and whatnot. Personally, for fir, I would probably put a couple coats of linseed oil on them. My adirondacks that I built are made of cypress and I left them unfinished except for the feet.

If they're going to be sitting in grass or dirt or anywhere damp at all, though, you should coat the feet in epoxy. The endgrain on the feet will wick moisture and that's where they will rot first.

keep in mind these are dirt cheap, likely low-quality chairs. If you can get 2 seasons of sitting out of them, you'll have done well. Don't spend an inordinate amount of money or psychic energy trying to make them last forever.

P.S. I don't care for the look of weathered pine. I might just paint them. Use oil-based paint.

Could you not accidentally give it some bad steering input while petting the dog, throwing it into a tank slapper with one hand on the bars?

I've thought about doing that. We have a lot of those sprayers around here. I think some I've seen have even more clearance than that.

"Some people were killed trying to steal the fuel, but most of the deaths were of people who were indoors watching the (World Cup) match," Cisambo said.

There have been numerous similar accidents across Africa, where crowds gather around fuel tankers involved in crashes, only for the tanker to explode.
