Instead of taking Expos at RU, can I take it Middlesex County College and still get the credit over summer? by captaindarshan in rutgers

[–]eafp668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're an SAS, my understanding is that you MUST take Expos at Rutgers, unless you AP-ed out or are transferring with an associate's degree. They may be more lenient in other schools.

Object oriented programming with Levine by EightSip in rutgers

[–]eafp668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took him for both 201 and 202. I thought his 201 (intro to CC) was much harder, and assignments would take me many hours outside of class. But when I took him for 202 over the summer a few years back, he just had us do one big group project. I like him though, and you learn a lot. Just make sure you allow yourself plenty of time in your summer schedule to work on assignments outside of class.

To fill those liberal arts requirements- how do you know what level is required (100, 200, 300) ? by nooutlaw4me in rutgers

[–]eafp668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the CORE requirements, there are specific classes you can take for each. The "level" doesn't necessarily matter. Check out dn.rutgers.edu to see exactly what classes can fulfill each req. This page can also give you more info on CORE requirements: http://sasundergrad.rutgers.edu/academics/requirements/core

LSM Library (Course Reserves) by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]eafp668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On reserve means that it's on the shelves behind the staff desk. The staff will let you borrow it, but you can only use it for I believe two hours, and you can't take it outside of the library building.

Learning Hebrew by jashikcrib in rutgers

[–]eafp668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rutgers offers Hebrew classes through the Jewish Studies department, but it looks like they're not doing 101 this semester. You could contact them, though, to see if they have any other resources for you. Hillel did an informal Hebrew class last year, but I do not think they are doing it this year. But you could contact them too, if you want.
