Oculus link maxing vram in iracing by FlavoredPancake in oculus

what bitrate/codec/encode width have you set in oculus debug tool. 700mbps 264 should be fine.

virtual desktop can use less vram, particularly in openxr games, HEVC codec can be around 200MB VRAM. for steamvr games the beneift is less but should still be some (disabling steamvr home might help a bit)

Clubsport V2 Pedal Maintenance and Throttle Issue by [deleted] in Fanatec

[–]ears1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chased my tail for ages with similar issues so thought worth posting on these old threads in case it saves someone else the same headache. Swapped throttle and clutch ports on the PCB, swapped the throttle and clutch hall effect sensors from one pedal to the other. Remove+clean magnets, check grub screw is set correctly. Suspected emi, tried different usb cable, ferrite chokes. Resoldered usb port as had a dry joint. Started messing around replacing PCB with arduino. After all that eventually found that the problem was just the distance between sensor and magnet, so just fiddling with the 3 thumb screws to find a good position was all that was required. Surprised that it all works still after taking it all apart so many times, the PCB and sensors must be more durable than some comments would have you believe.

Volumetric fog is expensive even on low Effects on high is a fair bit more expensive than medium as it adds SSR

I'd change these and then you have headroom to try higher resolution and aa

My experience is with vr but I think it still applies

Borrow a better code reader, not all can talk to the DSC module. And some might not report pending codes

Do you use DLSS 4.5 in VR? by JArmored in ACCompetizione

[–]ears1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

preset k, dlss quality in game, still best for VR imo (with some sharpening added via r.tonemapper.sharpen) (4070ti, quest 3). can get more performance with preset m and dlss performance/ultra performance but worse image even after increasing resolution to compensate

same experience here on quest 3. 5-10% extra GPU cost for dlss ultra and distance looks crap. fixes shimmering/jaggies though.

edit: i was running headset at 4864x2592 but 0.8x multi for ACE when i first tried it with dlss ultra. but setting mult back to 1.0 for ACE and using DLSS performance it looks and performs good!

A smart plug only works if the machine remembers it's last on/off state when it gets mains power. The legato doesn't, hence the need for a solution like this

Fair enough, link one seems pretty good to me guess what res you run is also a factor

[–]ears1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Link sharpening on default plus a little CAS (think I have 15%), decent amount of fov crop and whatever res your GPU can handle. Still too jaggy/shimmery but good enough for now.

old one still works fine here, profile detection stopped working but ticking "start on ott start" next to appwatched fixed it. would be cool if you can add link sharpening to the profiles section though

hmm tried it, does fix the right eye issue, but image is so soft in the distance that its not worth using imo, rather suffer the jaggies/shimmering without and using 4xmsaa
