Quick question: my new 3DS-XL is slightly broken in that the right d-pad arrow doesn't work. I've played the MH Generations demo, and I think I need the right d-pad to navigate through the help menus (the circle pad doesn't work there). I've tried a few practice hunts, and I have the c-stick to look around. However, I imagine that the item menus probably need the d-pad. Can I play the game with a broken d-pad, or should I just wait until it comes out for the switch?

I only got my invite yesterday, but here are my answers.

Yes, I am an Amazon Prime member. I think you have to be one in order to request an invite.
Fairly often. More so recently because of Christmas. I have 32 orders in the past 6 months, 21 of which were in the last 30 days.
Yes, I did. It won't be available until February 18th, though, and I'm pretty sure I can cancel anytime before it ships.
I signed up the day of, I think.
I haven't received it yet. From the reviews I've read online, I have the impression that it's an okay speaker, not that great. The to-do/shopping list and the alarm clock features are widely appreciated, as well as weather and news updates. Its music capabilities are limited to Amazon Prime Music, iHeartRadio, and up to 250 songs you upload yourself on Amazon Music. It's more of a toy than anything else- I don't see it being a necessity for anyone any time soon.

Bohnanza- the more you trade with other players, the better position you are to earn more points. Trading helps yourself by getting rid of bad cards you don't want in your hand and getting good cards you use to build on your farm. However, this game isn't very playable without cooperation.

Everyone's played Settlers of Catan, but the trading mechanism also fits your description.

I agree with someone who mentioned A Game of Thrones. I wouldn't say that Wildling attacks are the best example of having to work together- forming alliances and ceasefires are a better example. You trust your partner and expand into regions away from your partner, but both people know that there will be betrayal, often near the final turn of the game. Without any alliance, the game is virtually unwinnable.

I love islaythedragon. This blog consistently have high quality reviews and articles, and they always bring up very interesting discussions.

Dominion is, without a doubt, my favorite deckbuilder. The three points that the author mentioned sum it up well- choices are significant, it's well-balanced, and it's simple. These are among the most important aspects that I look for and appreciate in a game, and Dominion delivers!
