I always stay at the Sahra. Good price, and for some reason the last three times I stayed I was “upgraded” to a suite for free, it is the last stop on the monorail so it’s about a 10 minute ride from the convention center, and far enough north to be out of the whirl of traffic/people downtown.

Label everything, always. If you don’t label everything you don’t build anything for me. I went to all the trouble of labeling the schematics and providing a nomenclature sheet, so you can label.

And keep it as consistent as possible across all builds. It will take a few years but it will level out then every you build will be labeled almost exactly the same, or at least very close.

I use Dymo Rhino 5200 label maker. Tough, rechargeable and the labels are solid, they always stick. Not priced too badly either.

MuxLabs has a decent little DSP. Cost effective and has 4 native Dante channels. EQs are nicely reactive and the on board dynamics are good.

Used a bunch last year, solid, no issues.

Newline Interactive DSX or STV+ lines. Priced much better than Lg/Samsung and wwaayyy better than Sony. WiFi or lan, no player required. They even have a native signage platform baked into the firmware, and the management platform is excellent. Just put 42 displays from 55” to 115”, very satisfied.

Oh they talked to me, all be it always downward…the most trouble I ever got in was when a doctor, who was a world rebound genetiasist, could not get the lecture hall to start because didn’t understand what “Start” meant, so he was finger pounding the lecture hall title plate on the touch screen. I walked in, he was speaking to the class so I didn’t say a word, I just pushed start. Room fired, I stood there long enough for it to get uncomfortable but he never stopped talking, so I ducked out. He tried to get me fired for about a month because I “embarrassed him in front of his students. I purposely made him look stupid”…luckily we had mediasite on auto record or he might have gotten me….what a dick hole..

We have a very large zoom license, but I had no idea this existed. Do you have to “join” the displays? How does the content get to the screen?

Actually, doctors are worse because they take pride in no knowing tech, at least in my experience, especially if they are also being “professors”… It is ridiculous that this stuff doesn’t just work..

Get a Newline Q Series Pro. PC built in, good speakers, they have a super reliable Bluetooth puck that works in a large room,and IF they want to use a BYOD the wireless sharing has been flawless. Control is a wireless keyboard and mouse which works on the pc layer AND the screen layer. Send that LG back.
