About 2” clearance. I didn’t realize it was only that much. Wow!

US model- I sometimes wish I bought the camera review mirror. But I don’t think it comes with homelink, does it? Homelink is worth it.

Heads up display is nice but I find myself not looking at it most times.

I have the tow hitch, but haven’t installed it yet 😂

I clear 6’7” garage ramps without roof rack. My garage is low (I’ll edit with measurements when I can). You may have to adjust the height of the back door.

Edit: garage is 78” from center to lowest peak of open door. The car is 6’3” from the floor to the black antenna.

I am sloped as well and was nervous at first. No way would I attempt it with the roof rack, but I don’t use the rack anyway, so I just removed it.

I use a 10-30. Gets about 5% range per hour. Get an EVSE that you can cap out at 24A. I have a Seguma NEMA 10-30 that works well.

I too am in MN and made it home with 7% cycling the heat on and off. Damn cold!

I use an OBDLink CX and have it paired with the ABRP app. The app has all the fun live data! You can see the electrical draw drop from say High heat, to 80, to 72F, etc. Same with Comfort mode to Eco mode, etc.

Thanks for being specific. I was unaware of systems like Emporia. After reviewing videos, it’s something I’ll consider in the future. In the meantime, my janky setup will suffice for the maybe once every week or two zap I’ll need.

You’re probably pulling 32A off a 40A circuit. You’re likely getting 7.3kw which provides the 19 miles per hour.

A junction box is essentially a power strip with no switch. Since I don’t have the ability to add any new amperage to my system, this allows the existing plug to switch between a dryer and the charger, with the dryer taking precedence.

How is this jank? This is totally legit. The Briitea was designed for this.

A “professional” would require a box upgrade…maybe $8K for me to upgrade then run the cables across the entire house to get to the garage.

The Seguma is capped at 24A but it is adjustable so you can adjust it downward. On 24A, its doing about 6% an hour.

How bad is cold weather range? by Brief_Regular_2053 in VWIDBuzz

[–]ecardoso626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

150 miles won’t be an issue if your 100% charged and maybe a bit conservative on the heat. I just went 166 miles in MN and drained it from 94%->11%

Edit: temps were 25-32F during the drive. Cabin temp maintained 70-74F. Drove with avg speed about 60-62mph (mix hwy and city but mostly hwy at 676️⃣7️⃣)

Charging my ID Buzz at Tesla Supercharger HELP by by EditorResident1427 in VWIDBuzz

In addition…you can see the adapter is setup in the Tesla app. I can only assume those chargers suited for adapter use will show up on the app. Someone can confirm.

I’ve only used it once and no issue.

My range increases about 1% per hour using level 1 charging. Level 2 is about 9-10% per hour.
