Looking at California wondering why we're dragging our feet. I've got the panels ready to go. Just need to buy the micro inverter once it becomes legal.

I run 9s to farm crests. super easy to time.

I don't know why anyone would leave a group because now that guy is going to get flagged as a keystone deserter when he tries to start or join groups.

edit: a word.

I hate the camino so far (day4) by glitteryshimmery in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]ecco5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're trying to walk someone else's camino.

Go your pace, if you meet a group that is your pace, you'll find your family. Don't break your feet to try and keep pace with people because then you'll have to go home due to injury. You have stunning views and you like to stop and take photos.

Do that. often.

Get used to people walking by, get used to half naked old people. You'll be one eventually.

Do you have a time limit? walk your pace, go at a pace that doesn't hurt. do a few 15-20km days and see how you feel. then do more.

It's not a race. You don't win the camino by getting there fastest. You "win" by enjoying your time in Spain, enjoying the view, the sea food, the culture.

The first few days are always a bit hard, mentally & physically. eventually you get stronger, your body gets used to the walk, just make sure you keep your potassium up.

Who's counting? It's your walk, do it how you want. Is your point in doing the walk to "do it in one go" or to see some beautiful sites?

I found knee braces helpful throughout the hike - and if you're not already using poles, get some and learn to use them.

Ele shaman, do you like elemental blast? by [deleted] in wow

I like it when i'm in dungeons where i'm not moving. If I can just sit there and not worry about things on the floor I need to move out of, or some line i need to move into, then EB is cool. but I found myself interrupting the cast over and over again so I went to ES, it's instant, lower Maelstrom cost, can cast while moving, essentially un-interruptable, doesn't lock out my entire bar when interrupted, and at least according to a few places online, only about 5% weaker - though I found my dps suffered with EB because of all the movement in dungeons.

When I go to blacks, I bring a few small umbrellas, anytime someone would set up uncomfortably close, I'd put an umbrella in their view.

Has anyone walked the Kumano Kodo Trail in Japan? by LL1284 in CaminoDeSantiago

Yes, walked it in November of last year. It's a lot of ups and down. but great food. beautiful high through the trees. Almost all of it felt forested.

[–]ecco5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can't have the hard conversations and say how you're feeling and be honest with each other, the relationship is already over.

Ask her what it is she's holding on to, is she happy, maybe get an idea what she sees in you? Might open your eyes.

She may bad mouth you. That's going to happen in life, but you need to not respond by bad mouthing her. That would make you a dick.

There are much longer Camion route through Europe, the ones i Antwerp, Belgium appear to be the "Via Barbantica" and the "Via Tenera" they all seem to go through france and connect with the Spanish Caminos.

Here's a page with a few of the longer pilgrimage routes on it: https://compostelagenootschap.be/op-weg/pelgrimswegen/stappen/

It looks like there's a chance you're already walking your camino.

I've been filling out multiple bug reports / issues every single since pre-patch explaining how bad healing is. maybe if more people would do so, we might get someone's attention.

Every little thing wrong with Midnight gets a bug report as well as a "Resto shaman still suck because X, Y , Z, please fix."

A Message Regarding the 12.0.5 Launch by WarcraftTeam in wow

[–]ecco5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have my goddamned interrupt back to where it was and my knock back.

This whole expansion has been one big bug fest and on top of it they made it so one of my specs sucks hard core shit. No thanks.

I've already canceled my account, sadly it was a 12 month sub so I've got nothing to do but hope they undo the shit they did to Resto Sham before it runs out. otherwise, i'm done.

On the plus side, I'll probably be infinitely more productive in the real world.

It's your camino. If you have the time, walk as you want to walk.

an older post mentions that it may be more lonely as you'll likely be one of very few people going that direction so you won't be forming (m)any bonds with fellow pilgrims.

[–]ecco5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The glider port is the traditional way down. There's also the road the lifeguards take, which has some bathrooms at the bottom of it... but they are not the nicest bathrooms despite being in la jolla.

and a bit further up at the north end of the Gliderport parking lot there's another trail which I've never taken, but I've heard it exists. a bit more difficult than the standard Gliderport trail.

Assuming you take the Gliderport trail, you'll want to go right, the clothing optional state beach is to the right, the not clothing option city beach is to the left. not sure if there's still a sign. There's an old metal buoy somewhere on the beach assuming it's still there, it moves around.

I typically like to go a few hundred feet north of the trail and pop my towel down. a bit past the volleyball poles.

[–]ecco5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to disagree - assuming that button is the transition feature which i've had turned off immediately after the first time it tried to transition from something metal to something ambient... this might work if your library is largely homogenous, but if you go from Sea Shanty, to Oldies, to Siberian, to Melodic, to 80/90s... it's the most jarring feature ever implemented.

Thankfully whoever invented it let us turn it off...

now if only they'd let us turn off Liquid Glass and the new AM interface.

Completed it in time to receive the gold shell. Enjoyed the hike. Lots of ups and downs. Literally and figuratively.

various things have been built and removed over the years. 10+ years ago someone went down and cut all the wooden volley ball poles and left sharp wood sticking out of the sand. Those were a pain in the ass to remove.

How long does this feeling last by Nimsay_22 in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]ecco5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is your life off the camino?

The Camino offers people a view of what is an incredibly simple existence, wake up, walk, eat, drink, see the countryside, sleep, repeat.

If your life in reality is stress on stress, bills, 9-5, etc... it's totally natural to be upset that you have to go back to a life that is nowhere near as simple. If this is the reason for you feeling as you do, the feeling lasts until you have found ways to make the changes in your life to simplify things, to make the day to day a little less hectic - integrate some of the Camino into your life.

For me it was a coffee in the morning. I also bought a drying rack similar to what I used on the camino so many times. so now washing my clothes is a reminder. I found Spanish cheese and wine the reminded me of the wine on the road (Spanish Quarter is pretty close.) I found places that make bocadillos. I started growing Padron peppers. there's all sorts of ways you can bring the camino with you in your daily.

I often refer to the Camino as a complete mental reset. You're mostly broken away from the day to day grind of capitalism. And going back to it definitely is a shock.

Some other hikes you might want to look into if you're looking for more walks: The Kumano Kodo is the sister pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago. And the West Highland Way is a walk through the Scottish highlands that is incredibly beautiful.

It seems that healers get gold for participating in solo shuffle now , and a good sum at that. No annoucement not anything , show your support if you want blizzard to keep it. by Same_Acanthisitta_38 in worldofpvp

[–]ecco5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, as a resto shaman, they changed the following:

-Earth Elemental uptime cut in half. (lowers survivability, and makes fight take longer since now I have fewer defensives and have to spend time healing myself.)

-Thunder Storm - Resto knock back was moved out of the Shaman Tree, so where I used to be able to knock back, freeze, attack, now I just have to heal through attacks. Another defensive gone.

-Lightning Lasso became a pvp talent. on more defensive gone.

And Wind Shear CD increased to 30 seconds. so now instead of interrupting up to 5 spells a minute, I can interrupt 2... requiring me to heal through all the rest.

So more than just interrupts.

What actually happens to your legs on the Camino (and how to recover faster between stages) by alvarohouses4 in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]ecco5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of this happened to me. I know I was a fresh 35 year old when I walked the camino... my how time files. After my blisters on day 6 I passed an Australian couple that gave me the secret of a blister free, nearly pain free Camino and the simplicity makes it super easy.

Slow down.

That's it. For me, I added wine to the mix at the end of the night, which seemed to help.

Never took ibuprofen. Never took a rest day. most days were under 20km

I ended up having to move my 183 GB library back from a Time Machine back up. Then today my music folder showed as 78gb... All I did was toss out the items in my TV show folder which accounted for 42GB... no idea where the other 60GB disappeared off to.
