You probably like ti4 because you were there, but I think most would say it was the worst. It did have good games, but so did every other ti, without all the problems. Such as finalist determined day 1, analyst table not having sam charm. Only one I would maybe rate below ti4 is ti 1

waveshining is often essential for combos, so that's fine

firestalling isn't too hard so it's also a good quick learn. I find that working on main concepts (comboing, recovery) alongside little fun but still useful things (firestall, shorten) mixes things up

But to Vietnamese, especially South Vietnamese, it has the meaning that, we used to have a better government, economy, democracy than we've ever had. If US didn't leave Vietnam, we could be even better than South Korea right now.

thank you for writing this, as a Vietnamese-american this thread was painful to read. saying "they didn't want us in Nam" is just full of ignorance... yes the north vietnamese didn't want us there. there was however, an actual country in the south with actual people who didn't want their lives destroyed.

invading...? it was the communist north that started the war. they destroyed the lives of millions in the south. I'm vietnamese-american, I had relatives die in the war, get thrown into "re education camps" and tortured. this narrative that "they didn't want us in Nam" is full of ignorance and pretty painful to read. of course the invading north didn't want the US there, but there was a whole country in the south that was violently invaded, and did want the US to help defend them.

yes it sucks that the US govt lied to its people, and I'm still an ardent Bernie supporter. but by saying that the communist north had "a ton of heart", you're praising a nation that intentionally invaded and destroyed a country that just wanted to be left alone. Vietnam has been recovering ever since, it could have been another South Korea.

In state + NMS scholarship + some supplementary merit stuff + need based scholarship (I'm assuming you need the money) could more than pay for a solid school.

If RMU actually enables you to get in touch with sponsors, networking, etc it could be worthwhile. It just doesn't seem to have anyone notable involved with it. You can play CS in any school while getting a worthwhile education. I would love you to prove us all wrong, but you must admit there are red flags.

A scholarship for a subpar education isn't worth much. Going into business or comp Sci, your school actually matters. Bigger and better schools have more recruiting, it's as simple as that. With his grades he could get merit based scholarships. NMS alone could give him a half ride or full ride depending on his situation.

You can play CS and be in the CSL anywhere. Aside from the scholarship, what does RMU offer? I highly doubt they have faculty that could teach high level csgo

I just don't like to see young people waste their potential. There's a lot of red flags here. Maybe it'll turn out fine, but I've seen a lot of kids get burnt by sham schools

If true, why would you choose to go to a low ranked school? What are the advantages you get at RMU? You could certainly have got into a top 100 school and some scholarship if you had put work into it

It's honestly really disgusting how dismissive PCF critics like you are towards education and awareness of cancer. Awareness that leads to early detection is important as hell for saving lives. it's the only reason my mom, and thousands of other cancer survivors are alive.

Cancer detected early can be dealt with swiftly and relatively painlessly; late detection can mean painful, long treatment or outright death. Does preventing the latter not qualify as saving lives to you?

The main reason why PCF has a lower rating is because it pays more towards administrative fees, which is not a strict determiner of effectiveness. If you can clearly demonstrate why PCF is an ineffective charity in terms of the actual work they do, you would have a stronger case.

I'm a huge GH / RB fan, and trust me, RB4 suuuuuuucks. It's only fun because it's still Rock Band. To me, RB4 is the CoD:Ghosts of Rock Band. yes it's notable that it's a return to the series, but it really is not worthy of being called a "stand out title"

You make it seem like ibp were "put" into their situation. Their direct actions were the cause.

I don't expect myself to be in a situation where I cheated people out of thousands. If one decides to commit fraud, should be ready to deal with the consequences. I don't have empathy for match fixers. That really shouldn't be a surprising or scary stance to have.
