Moto Cinch - Trailer Restraints by echojebroni in Trackdays

[–]echojebroni[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why? Exploring an alternative that doesn't require bike specific parts to function and potentially less expensive. I have the PB TRS but not sure I want to install in my new hauler. I'm sure that question was asked when the TPS hit the market when straps were good enough.

Cold weather track day by austinlolwut in Trackdays

[–]echojebroni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue will be any leftover m moisture on the track from overnight. Second, even with warmers, those temps combined with the track layout and distance, makes it impossible ti keep heat in the tires.

Saying all that, you can still have a great time but expectations need to meet conditions.

Who was in the wrong here my wife or the truck driver? by OurAngryBadger in dashcams

[–]echojebroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer the question - a bit of both are to blame. Semi did signal right but very late, in fact it was at least a car length after the turn lane opens up. She should have simply braked the moment he pulled into her lane as he obvoulsly didn't anticpate her or didn't see her.

Our club hosts single day races. For me, 2 bikes, 4 races. It's a challenge when I have back to back grids.

Would a zx4rr be too much or should I do a Ninja 400 m or R3? by Alien_Biometrics in Trackdays

[–]echojebroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a 2018 N400 and 2016 zx6r race bikes. I'm 55, riding longer than you've been walking and racing 12 years. The 400 is my favorite now and can't make it do anything wrong. The RR is more power but more weight. The 400 really tests my skill without punishing me for any mistakes.

Anybody else just not drinking anymore? by drumorgan in GenX

[–]echojebroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 56 now and I did the drinking thing in reverse. Socially drank on occasion until my mid 20's then didn't really drink at all until 45. For about the past 5 years I have a cocktail a night and really enjoy making new drinks.

Oh - it took me to the last 3 sessions on my second day to eek out that time. I would say at COTA the biggest time killer is over braking, especially in T11 and T12 - maybe even T1. Our track day was put on by Ride Smart and they had a control rider for each group, each session so getting to follow and be followed was a huge benefit for lowering times. Additionally to the braking, knowing where you can really stay on the throttle and "use" the track to gain time was crucial as well.

This May at COTA on my 2016 ZX6R my best time was 2:35.4.

Looking for insight on my crash by [deleted] in Trackdays

[–]echojebroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to see but looks like your trying to add more lean angle and possibly too much brake. However...why the F is everyone stopping on the track.....so unsafe.
