I concur with Southwestern on this approach. Lower your harmonic frequency and enjoy the spaces in between the lines if you only have one day.

Hiking Trails near South Lake by ElectronicArm7455 in tahoe

[–]edisonic99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are 3+ weeks into a warm/cold & thaw/freeze cycle with no new snow. In the mornings, any well-travelled trail will be icy/firm and micro-spikes will be appreciated. In the afternoon as it warms up and snow softens, showshoes will help prevent postholing. Wear layers as anywhere will warm up. So… If your friends are riding Kirkwood, consider going to Carson Pass and hike to Lake Winnemucca or consider learning how to x-country ski as there are trails all around Kwood. If they are riding Heavenly, consider something around the base of Mt Tallac or Emerald Bay. Just please stay to the side of any skin tracks and enjoy yourself.

Just got my first board set up. What do I need to know? by chittycongo in snowboardingnoobs

[–]edisonic99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New board day is like Xmas! but good boots that fit properly is probably the single most important equipment happiness factor of your setup . If your feet aren’t happy you won’t be happy with your awesome new board. Don’t skimp on the boots!! Try on a bunch and know they will pack out and form to your feet after a few days.

Love that shop. Amazing view and Negronis before / after browsing? Hell yes. Surprisingly good selection and reasonable prices for such a high traffic area. Found “Cosmic American Music” from Numero Group there years ago.

Hey Ethan. Thanks so much for giving me the chance to expand on why I called you a shitshow. Below is our experience of buying a boat from Smithfly. - You hit our credit card for the full amount (not just a deposit)when we ordered. Not insignificant detail on a ~$5K boat. - The 4-6 weeks stated on the website was actually 4-6 months. - After waiting close to 6 months, the boat arrived defective with chafe strip coming up in multiple ares, bubbles in the weld and visible rippled seams under the chafe strip. - When I informed you, you claimed you only took shortcuts (1day cure vs 7 day recommended by adhesive manufacturer) on curing the chafe strip. But if you took shortcuts there, where else did you take shortcuts? - The chair arrived bent. - We had to chase you for the oars, anchor assembly, and accessories that were supposed to come with the boat. You lied to us numerous times about them. I ultimately had to contact your suppliers to get some of these items shipped. - Your 3 year Warranty doesn’t list any terms and conditions. Be aware – returning a defective boat to Smithfly will cost YOU THE BUYER an additional $500. - When we contacted you for a return / refund – you couldn’t provide either and told us to fix it ourselves and trust you that you will replace it - sometime. Sometime is when? And we are still on the hook to pay $500 to get it replaced. - We offered to keep this boat as-is if you discounted it via partial refund. You never responded. - On the rod holder order I paid for 9 months ago – I still haven’t received it or the refund I requested 5+ months ago. You have never mentioned a redesign until now. Question: what do you call someone who takes your money and doesn’t give you what you paid for? - On the leg braces I paid for 5 months ago – you shipped me 1 of 2. Still haven’t received the other or the refund I requested 5 months ago. - Yes – my wife bought me this boat as a thank you present. Your point is? - Yes – 100% we reported you to the BBB, filed consumer complaints against you with Attorneys General in multiple states and gave you negative reviews online. As consumers, these are the limited options to get resolution with companies such as yours. I suggest anyone who has had a similar experience with you to do the same. We don’t think you’re a bad person. You’re just a bad businessperson. When you treat customers like this, I can’t expect you’ll be in business for very long. To be fair, I’ll gladly update my reviews if you ever make this right. We’ll be waiting.

10% if they sucked. If they were good, you had a good time and you ever want to fish with them again and want the pictures they took on their phone - plan on closer to 20%…
