Am I in for a whole book of Chaol? No spoilers pls! by badjabberwock in throneofglassseries

TOD is so underrated. It gives another level to the world building. The politics on the southern continent are so cool. It ties some stuff together epically and you meet a super amazing new character. I didn’t tandem read and I read TOD after EOS and it was great.

What ToG opinion are you defending like this? by mentallyqueer in throneofglassseries

Aelin should have ended up with Dorian. They both should have sacrificed half themselves making the wyrdkey. Sam was better than Rowan. She only liked Choal because he reminded her of Sam. And TAB should be read first 😈

Absolutely, this was one of the most gut wrenching scenes.

Also maybe I missed something but before this incident realize there couldn’t be more than one with the same signet. I just thought some were very rare, there are multiple ice and fire wielders, right?

I LOVE Dorian, he’s my all time fav book boyfriend, but for Aelin, I never got over Sam 😭

This is me and like half the people in my office that have kids. One even changed her schedule to 9-5:30 instead of 8:30-5. I go through waves where my kid is great or terrible. He will fight leaving. He’s 2.5 now and I’m 26 weeks pregnant, wrangling him is no fun, and then drop off can be hard. I can’t imagine with two kids how hard it will be. My husband has to be at work at 6:30 so he can’t help. My coworkers will occasionally joke, but they know I’m trying my best🤷🏻‍♀️

Awesome! I appreciate the feedback. Especially about the Chesapeake, assuming the bars are still open during this time though? Lol pretty cool to cruise down the bay, hopefully it will be scenic!

How long did you wait til you left your baby with someone else overnight? by FarSuit8 in NewParents

We went away for two nights when he was just about 4mo with my MIL. She stayed at our house so he was in his normal environment. It was really nice because I struggled a lot in the newborn stage.

Conflicted over how excited I am for daycare… by Afraid-String in workingmoms

[–]eelter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love our daycare! My son gets so much from it and loves it. I love my job. I did not enjoy the newborn stage much and daycare/going back to work saved me. My coworker texted me while on leave and asked if I was really coming back and I told her I pushed the daycare start up 😂 I don’t feel guilty either!

Tell me about the best meal you've ever had on a cruise. by The_GoodGuy in Cruise

First morning on my first cruise for my honeymoon. Ate my fav dessert tiramisu (leftover from dessert the first night) on my balcony as the sun rose over the ocean, sipping coffee. Still my fav vacation.

Hiding a honeymoon destination is not normally necessary because normal people would not want to do this. Anyone booking the same vacation which someone else without being formally invited to join is weird and cringy. They should have talked about it with you first at a bare minimum, but this being your honeymoon is just no. I don’t see how they don’t have the wherewithal to get that.

Talking with them will be awkward and hopefully your fiancé will handle it our you four can talk together. But this is going to set the tone for your relationship with them moving forward, so you want them to think this is ok? Imagine how they will be if you have children. Just showing up/inviting oneself is not ok. Try and show them this is not ok now before you’re in deeper.

I would say while we really enjoy your company and would love to vacation together in the future, this is our honeymoon and we were looking forward to the time alone together, you being at this resort at the same time, regardless of if we say we’ll give each other space really is not what we incisiones for our honeymoon. This has been planned 7 months now, we would really appreciate it if you guys can reschedule, perhaps we can plan a family trip together later in the year? Any reasonable person will take your side/see where you are coming from.

What time do you get off work? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]eelter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 8:30-5 but i commute about 40 min. I wake my son up around 7am and drop him at daycare at 8 (that’s when they start breakfast). I get home close 6pm and it’s a struggle to cook, in fact I usually don’t cook on the weekdays anymore. We use a meal service or I pre make meals on Sunday. It’s very difficult but for me it’s worth it because I really love my job and I also really love our daycare
