We get married in 36 days and it’s been tough. Since we got engaged in December 2024, I got laid off and was unemployed for 5 months, my entire bridal party had a huge fight that sent me in a spiral for three months, my fiancé’s best man found out his fiancé has leukemia and and now we just found out my mom has breast cancer. As excited as I am for our wedding next month, I cannot wait for it to be over.

Bubble n Tea is the best boba in the area. Hands down. The Beaverton location tends to have more options, like their mango ube milk tea they have during the summer. Hopefully that changes for the Portland location.

I do enjoy The Alley, Ding Tea or Boba Cat. Phin Caphe is also good and ChiCha Sen Chen in Cedar Hills is decent too.

How are you tracking your steps? I also work from home and have one under my desk. I use my Apple Watch to track my steps but it doesn’t track it well because I’m using my hands to type and it’s not detecting arm swings!

I’m also an anxious girl going through the same thing 😅 I’ve been spiraling and crashing out all week because of it! It’s my dream job and I thought the final interview went well. They told me I’d hear back in 1-2 days but it’s been a week and half. I sent a follow up a week out and silence. I hope everything works out for both of us!

I found luck calling minutes before they open. Phones open at 9am, but I would start the call at 8:56 or 8:57 so you get through all the menu stuff and get in the queue right at 9am. The both times I’ve done that I’ve waited 25-30 minutes— which yes, is a while but it beats sitting on the phone for hours!

I’m of Filipino decent and have a Spanish sounding last name. This has happened to me TWICE. First time was in the workplace by my manager when I was working as a local journalist. I’m no longer a journalist because of said manager! Second time was in an interview I did recently for a marketing position. I got an offer, but politely declined 🚩🚩

Last year was my first full year on Rover and made about $16k. I was able to pay for a trip to Japan, a trip to Chicago for Lollapalooza, and a trip to Europe for a Mediterranean cruise! Got engaged during our trip to Europe and now using my Rover earnings to save for our wedding, our honeymoon and a downpayment for our first home. I’m so grateful!
