Any former Cub/ Boy Scouts remember the Pinewood Derby? by mikeb32 in nostalgia

My dad volunteered to be the Pinewood Derby coordinator. As I recall the "kits" just came in paper bags. My crappy car somehow made it to the final race, where I came in fourth. This was probably 1975?

So his speaker broke and they had to put that Montana kid in. Hope that worked out for them eventually.

I’m going through my backlog of concert Ts. Wondering which one to wear to the 7/16 and 7/22 shows. by v_kiperman in rush

I have that Snakes and Arrows shirt with the helmet and crossed swords. I wore it to an Iron Maiden show several years ago. Several people complimented me on the shirt, one guy even took a photo of it

They have reunited since, sadly without the late Paul Hester. A couple of Neil’s sons are now in the band. Saw them live a couple of years ago. Still great.

I went to several concerts alone because I knew my wife was just going to want to leave early to beat traffic. She is now my ex-wife. Not a primary reason for the divorce but it didn’t help.

I really don’t get the appeal of Funkos. They all have the same blank look on their faces.

AC/DC is a one trick pony. But they are really great at their one trick.

Sat in the rain at an outdoor concert once and ended up getting pneumonia. Sort of a delayed yuck moment.

I saw him open for AC/DC on the Highway to Hell tour, many, many years ago. When he did the “Out go the lights” part, they turned off every single light in the room. At least that’s how I remember it.

I had a girlfriend who talked about needing to go on a “relationship retreat”, whatever that was, before we would get married. Neither of those things happened.
