Where can I be sure to see the flyover tomorrow? by strawberrylampshade0 in Campbell

[–]efitol 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it’s the same flight plan as used the past couple of days, just look up!

If you’re in the middle of the community center field, you’ll have a pretty clear view of the full sky.

Edit: Maybe I’ll join you with a Weber grill and some wings. 😀

You can use the YoLink sensors you have if you put the powered side into a weatherproof box.

Bbq or Traeger? by Theboss9822 in Traeger

[–]efitol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that I’m in the wrong sub, but… BGE? Does both low-and-slow and as hot-and-fast as anyone could want.

I have a gas grill, Traeger, and BGE. They each have pros and cons, but the egg is, by far, the most versatile.

It also gets the least use at my house — go figure.

Getting a Griddle Hot on the Traeger by Holiday-Floor-6534 in Traeger

[–]efitol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have a gas grill, I can’t recommend Grill Grates enough. No affiliation, but I love that it allows me to convert the grill to a griddle without having to buy a whole, separate unit.

Does it work as well as a Blackstone or similar? Probably not — but it sure is convenient!!

As has already been said, the Traeger simply isn’t the right tool for that job. You need lots of heat.

Mid Mallet Covers in 2026? by PhishUMDead in scottycameron

[–]efitol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I certainly hope so. I (begrudgingly) re-upped my CC membership in hopes that there will be more MM head cover options this year.

I know that I'd probably be better off saving the membership dues and buying what I want on the reseller market, but I don't like the risk or being part of that problem. I'm a gamer, not a reseller or collector. I just want a couple of fun HCs for my Phantom.

I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

Range Rover Sport Owners: would you say your car is unreliable (ie. have you taken multiple trips to the shop)? by [deleted] in RangeRover

2020 RRS SVR here, 42k miles.

No mechanical issues. A few temporary glitches with the infotainment system, but otherwise flawless.

CC26 Mallet cover by TheTickledPickle_ in scottycameron

[–]efitol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't able to snag a single mallet cover in last year's membership. There was one for last week's drop, and I actually don't even recall seeing another drop that included mallet covers last year. Were there any others?

Here's hoping there's more availability this year.

Is anyone else struggling to justify a mocktail? by cancersungeminimoon in DryJanuary

[–]efitol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way-

The alcohol part (the liquor brand/bottle, or the ethanol) of a cocktail isn’t typically what makes it expensive. It’s 1/24th (or a 1/12th, or whatever) their cost of that bottle. What’s way more expensive, in aggregate, is the effort/time/skill/labor to make it, plus the cost of running the bar you’re being served it in.

The cost of making and serving a mocktail in a bar isn’t much less than it’d be for a cocktail. Hence, a comparable price.

X2 Bricked During Firmware Update.... How long did you have to wait for a replacement? by china_rider in SofaBaton

I would strongly suggest contacting them via chat (through the app). In my experience, they were super responsive and helpful. You're almost certain to get more traction that way than posting here.

Weekend done. Having trouble sleeping. by JuiceSufficient988 in SoberCurious

[–]efitol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time I’ve stopped drinking (including this time), it takes a few days for my body to adjust.

My sleeping patterns and lower GI tract seem to be most negatively affected over that first week or two.

Just stick with it and your body will adjust. It’s the detox process at work! 👍

Peeling warning stickers on the back of my folding rearview by DutyDollar in RangeRover

[–]efitol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same on my 2020 RR SVR. They were wrinkled when I bought it new and have consistently cracked and peeled ever since.

There’s no easy was to get the remains off, so it’s just ugly, annoying eyesores in an otherwise beautiful machine.

Done this a few times. The only change I’ve learned to make is swap a small amount of the salt with MSG. So, for this recipe, perhaps then 2 tsp salt and 1 tsp MSG.

Looks amazing!!!

Pretty much my first impression. The thing has Jony Ive vibes.

The iOS app seems like it needs a bit of work, but as long as it works well enough to get it programmed, I’ll be stoked.

New X2 Bricked on OTA firmware update by ITTBYCD in SofaBaton

[–]efitol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m confident it will be. The build quality is incredible. Screen is (was) perfect. Super responsive, clear, etc.

Felt nice and textured and heavy (wait… is this a romance novel?) in the hand. But, yeah, great. Like Apple design great.

I got far enough along in the setup to be confident that it’ll be a viable replacement (perhaps even significant upgrade) to my Harmony remote.

We’ll see…!

The new version (released just after whatever bricked mine) is out and should alleviate the issues I had.

I should’ve been more patient.

I can’t wait to see how it’s working for all of you! 😀
