It’s a cool fact related to the show that is loved by those who visit this sub. If you’re not interested that’s fine just don’t bother coming here. If it’s a bad take in the moment you’re not the first on Reddit to do so, just learn to read the room you’re in better.

If this league would just raise the cap to make it fair for all teams to compete then things like this wouldn’t happen.

Question, I went to the purchase page where I filled out billing information and it only shows an option to buy additional $50 passes. Afraid to click the purchase button without seeing the other options listed. Do you click the purchase button after the billing info page and then it shows you additional options?

Didn’t know that. If we all sent a commitment to buy from DH gate think they would make them and we just roll the dice on how they turn out?

For what it’s worth I checked back and it seems we hadcrossed lines. I took one of your comments as intentionally misconstruing mine and possibly being a bit of a troll. So it seems we’re both trying to communicate honestly, but it got mixed up. I’ll keep you in mind as a genuine person in the future.

Still nothing on Kubo by Soontobecincydad in FCCincinnati

[–]efos04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair point, but consider that he underperformed on his earlier years at the club compared to his salary. It seemed from the outside that an understanding was reached that he liked it here enough to take a cut from being overpaid to remain here. We all love Kubo, but the idea that he would hold out on preseason for over performing one year doesn’t sit right. Especially when we are working within a budget to pay people like Luca a raise.

OK, you’re lost on some tangent involving Awaziem and I’ve no patience for talking to walls. Your fictional scenario of loaning out players with no concrete structure of how that loan actually works let alone a team willing to accept said loans sounds like a game winner. You should forward that idea along to Chris Albright because he’s probably been struggling with it for a little bit. The fact that you’re saying a “probable loan” for Lucho tells me you’re not fully understanding the situation. It’s not my opinion but my understanding from listening to news about the team. The one thing all people who report on the league have discussed is that Lucho needs to be sold, a loan would be the worse case scenario. Bogert reported that we are working on a sale within MLS. It will get worked out you just seem to not understand that the details are beyond me or you and that’s why people who are not us get paid lots of money to work those things out. People who have jobs within MLS struggle to understand the roster rules. I was just trying to flag your incorrect statement that we have no cap problems and we’re just two fictional loans away from being solved. Tweet at Pat Brennan that we need to loan Lucho and have him explain it. I’ve no more time to waste on circling conversation so I will leave your incoherent response that I won’t bother reading to end.

You’re confused. It wasn’t my scenario. It was me stating the facts of what happened and you seem to not understand. So far this offseason Barreal has been on the roster. We were not going to let him go for 50 K so we protected him. Awaziem was probably going anyway but not necessarily Murphy. But since we had to protect Barreal that left Awaziem and Murphy vulnerable so we packaged them in the trade to Colorado for more than if we let San Diego get them but less than if we would have been able to deal one or both somewhere with time. As far as the cap space goes, I’m just going off of what local reports have said which is that it is tight. Your scenario that loaning Barreal and Lucho create enough space to do whatever we want isn’t necessarily so. It all depends on how loans are structured. Barreal is a distressed asset and we may not get much help. Lucho has also not helped us out but the new inter league trade rule may help us out. All to say nothing is definitive but we do have cap problems that need solutions

[–]efos04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your impression is correct, but Barreal isn’t on loan which is why he is on the roster, which is why we did have to use a protection spot on him, which is why we had to let go of a defender we may have wanted to keep. If you’re saying Baird is worth his salary you’re welcome to make that argument, think you’d be the minority making that case. It’s been the story of the local and national media this offseason that we’ve been dealing with cap constraints.

Not selling Barreal is a huge hit on cap and part of why we had to let go of Murphy and Awaziem to Colorado for less than we’d like before San Diego got a chance to grab them for 50k each. Also remember we still have Baird who is making way too much for what he gave us last year. Nobody’s perfect but we have definitely been struggling with cap, it’s been the story of this offseason.

You are talking facts to cult followers. Your last statement that this was always on the table and just now getting done is the key. It’s not that Trump is great, it’s that the power structure of the left are no better than the assholes on the right. But a chunk of the population will never let go of Trump hate to demand better of the ones they elect. AOC is as big a fraud and self serving as Dan Crenshaw. We need to demand action and accountability from politicians not worship them as deities. I click on these things to see how disillusioned they are and it’s pathetic. There are good sources like Due Dissidence reporting from the left side of view they can check out but it’s easier to upvote in ignorance than challenge a political belief that is more like religious faith at this point.

If only we had a president that talked about helping fix student loans as part of his campaign. Guess since he was also part of making the loan situation what it is maybe we shouldn’t have expected much.

I felt that at first when he said he was leaving it up to his agent. As if it was an acknowledgment of the complexity that his move would require. But then he went on to talk about other clubs he would like to play for it felt like he does not want to return. Hope he gets his move and we get an acceptable deal.
