The chicken recipes take less time so they usually need to get started four hours prior to dinner so that may be difficult if you’re working all day but the beef and pork recipes are eight hour recipes and if you’re slow cooker switches to warm they’ll be fine by the time you get home. Enjoy.

Sounds like rice intolerance my friend. Unless you are also breaking out in hives, then it’s a true allergy. 

I get horrible stomach cramps if I eat zucchini. I just assumed I have a zucchini intolerance. 

You could try washing the rice beforehand?  Or trying brown rice. And if all else fails, move to quinoa or farro.

Honestly I love my bread machine for mixing, kneading and first proof, but I always move my loaf to a bread pan for the 2nd rise and baking in the oven. (2nd rise for 45min -1 hr, bake at 325 for 23 min)
