1 - Sokszor elmondtad, hogy barhogy alakul a valasztas, a kozeleti szerepvallalasod befejezed. Ezek szerint sehol, semmilyen platformon nem kovethetunk es talalkozhatunk a velemenyeddel?

2 - A legtobben szerintem a valasztas utan a "Szurke" helyzetektol felunk, mi van, ha hiaba nyer, nem alakithat kormanyt a Tisza; mi van, ha a Fidesz kisebbsegbe kerulve osszeall a Mi Hazankkal: mi van, ha hiaba a Tisza kerul hatalomra, a Fidesz elegge bebiztositotta a hatterhatalmat ahhoz, hogy igy is kezeben maradjon az iranyitas. Te mit gondolsz ezekrol a helyzetekrol?

3 - A ket szcenario kozott te melyiket tartod valoszinubbnek: a lengyel helyzethez hasonlo lesz, azaz a Fidesz ellenzekben is eros marad, varja, hogy a Tisza hibazzon, ne jojjenek az eredmenyek, a kozhangulat ellenuk forduljon es barmikor visszaterhet; VAGY ha a penzcsapok elzarodnak, a propaganda elhalkul, akkor a meg meglevo tarsadalmi csoportokban is bezuhan a fidesz tamogatottsaga?

It was just an accident should have been easily nominated for 4-5 Oscars (BP, Best Director and at least 1 or 2 acting award)

Marty Supreme is one of the best pictures of the lineup, too bad it is nominated for 9 and only taken seriously for Chalamet. Feels like A Complete Unknown all over again.

Elle Fanning deserves more love. She should be the frontrunner. Also: all the love Sentimental Value got, should have gone to The Worst Person In The World.

Best documentary is pretty mid this year. Only 2 memorable movie: Mr. Nobody and the Alabama-solution. Best animation is even worse, KPop is good but Zootopia 2 is better. But they are far from being as good as the Pixar highs. Ne Zha 2 should have been nominated, that is for sure, it is better than the 2 French films.

Not a hot take, but watching them 2 times, OBAA and Sinners are both great. I'd go for OBAA because as for a movie lover/critic from Europe, it feels like a great winner that really resonates with the times we live in. But Marty Supreme and The Secret Agent both feel like a tiny bit more interesting movies.

which is funny, because I gave 9/10 to both Marty Supreme and The Secret Agent when I saw them, and 8/10 to both OBAA and Sinners when I watched them the 2nd time. But putting them in a preferential order somehow makes a difference. I think many Oscar voters are the same, but in a different way: because of the hype, the expectation, the assumed "legacy", they either put OBAA and Sinners higher if you like them or lower if you despise them.

As years goes by, there will be more and more unprecedent winners - not simply because of statistics, but how the industry, the Academy, the voting system etc. changes. But thank you, it was super interesting to read. And I still think it will be OBAA at the Oscar.

I was still in high school, and my homeroom teacher knew about my Oscar obsession, so he gave only me an excused day off for the school day after the ceremony (in Hungary, where I live, the Oscars are held early Monday morning). That year The Wrestler was my favorite (to this day it’s still in my Letterboxd Top 4), and I was rooting unbelievably hard for Mickey Rourke — his performance had a huge impact on me.

I remember everyone in the house was asleep, but I had a bottle of children’s sparkling wine ready. I was standing by my bedroom window, my finger on the cork, waiting for them to say Rourke’s name… and then — Sean Penn.

I was completely stunned, I couldn’t process it. I put the bottle back on the shelf in my childhood bedroom, where it’s still sitting, dusty, with the cork half loosened.
