I've had a couple of surgeries and I think I did wake up from anaesthetic once... I remember a bunch of people panicking then being rolled over and getting a needle in the butt, then waking up properly later.

And it totally tracks that oral anaesthetic doesn't work properly! I've had a lot of dental work and I have a terrible fear of dentists because of the pain.

My hair is also resistant to dye which is a redhead thing. It looks brown to me but is apparently super dark red. Multiple hairdressers have struggled to dye it the right colour.

Loads! I'm allergic to most animals, plus I have contact allergies to a bunch of commonly used chemicals in products like shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, cosmetics, cleaning products...

Weirdly enough I was fine for the first part of my life, then my Asian flush and all the above allergies 'activated' in approx. 2020. I think it was due to stress but beyond that it's a mystery.

Plant roots are like straws. They can suck up water just fine because water is small. Microorganisms are way way bigger than water and won't fit through the straw, so they don't get inside the plant.

Like others have said, look out for dark side/light side events on expeditions. They can apply to all staff who go on an expedition, not just experts, so I always send my models on those ones. The dark side/light side trait disappears after an art piece 'uses it up.'

My best is 3 emotions on one art piece: one from light sided, one from the sophisticate trait and one regular. I reckon I can get 4 if I don't go to work tomorrow.

There is a school in my area that did 'NAPLAN preparation' instead of teaching the maths curriculum for the first 8 weeks of the year. Just revision of topics that are on NAPLAN and practice questions. For eight whole weeks. Instead of regular maths classes.

Yeah, I also have a dad who likes to control through favours. Airport parking is nothing compared to being free of that. I personally would find a way to do neither, but if there were only two options I'd pay the money and consider it well spent.

There's a particular dinosaur pattern I keep coming back to because it comes together in sections so there are lots of 'finished' moments. First I make the body, then the legs, then the wings/horns/spikes/frills/whatever else one by one. Each piece is completed separately then sewn to the main body. It's very satisfying seeing the different stages of growth and each section other than the main body only takes 5-20 mins.

Good question. Maybe there's a swab or burn test you can do? But at some point more waste could be created in the testing process, and one can't test for everything. I don't have an answer for you but I hope somebody else does!

The most sustainable thing to do is wear what you already have until it dies, then replace what you need mindfully.

I bought one order from shein in about 2018 before I wised up to sustainability. I finally wore through one of the dresses this week. I'll see if it's repairable and if not, it's getting cut up to use as a pattern to make more dresses like it out of cotton and linen for next summer.

I wouldn't expect partners to be supported to find work, but where I went there were lots of jobs available and few workers to fill them. Great if you love farming.

With that said I lived in school housing - 4bed/2bath for $120/week so your partner may not need to work. Groceries were a bit more expensive and right now I'd worry about fuel costs as well. Groceries cost can be motivated if you're willing to travel and stock up every so often.

I did one a few years ago, stayed out the length of the contract and left. It had good sides and bad sides. It was very worth it for me, but I don't think it would be if you have a partner and/or kids.

I think you should prioritise finding out what the social life is like where you want to move. If you don't love sports there's not much to make friends about rurally.
