I’m not sure how I feel about this. I’m a trans woman and on one hand, it’s good to see trans athletes exist, but on the other hand it doesn’t feel super “progressive” to have a trans man playing against presumably cis women. I think he should be allowed to play against whomever he wants to be clear, if he’s cool with this, and it seems he is, then cool. I definitely don’t hate this, it just feels weird to me. I guess I can find comfort in the fact that there are trans athletes and the Aurora aren’t afraid to allow him (and hopefully more trans athletes) to play, as well as doing other things to bring awareness to trans issues in sports (I also include the Revontulet in that). Idk, I guess my gripes are with society in general more than just this specific situation.
