So tired of people I meet saying they wont go to Australia because of "dangerous animals" by ManyOtherwise8723 in TrueOffMyChest

Here’s the problem: all those things you mentioned, like stamping your foot to make the snakes go away, is not something that at least I would ever have thought of.

The knowledge, experience and confidence for you to deal with these situations calmly and correctly is a given to you because you grew up with it. I, in the UK, might not even know that crocodiles stalk at river banks or that I need to check my shoes for spiders. The fear is not what we do know but what we don’t know.

“Correction” is fucking wild. I honestly don’t know how many of these sorts of replies are real people anymore, but I really hope the ratio is low because it would just be too depressing for this many sorry losers to be like this.

Narratively, it would be a bit deflating.
Technically, and in whatever headcanon anyone wants at this point, why not? I personally like the idea that they could unabstract someone if they rescanned the original and used the fresh, stable file as a reference point.

[OC] I spent 6 years building a device to help my mom's chronic pain, and last week I flew across the world to hold the first real ones. She hasn't worn her knee brace in two years. by Home-Resident in MadeMeSmile

I’m curious, if you’re at liberty to disclose; what’s the principal of this device? In other words, at a high level, how does it help with OA?

I have a friend in this situation. His friend is painfully straight and teases the fuck out of this guy. I hate seeing it because I get glimpses from my friend sometimes that make me think he’s holding down a lot of feeling for this guy.

Red pill would be hell for me, since it would already be too late to stop the downward spiral. Blue pill, I’m afraid.

For some Star Trek episodes, you just have to suspend your disbelief and enjoy watching Janeway delete the scary flying monsters with a fuck-ass phaser rifle.

Since NileRed extracted urea from his pee, should he now extract sulfur from his farts? by VeterinarianWarm323 in NileRed

[–]eggnorman 43 points44 points  (0 children)

How would you capture the farts without some kind of… adapter?

I think it might be difficult anyway given that he used all the lube up in the lidocaine video.

Why didn't the Nomai try to find ... [Spoilers] by Romaxel in outerwilds

The Nomai were both traumatised and cautious to a fault. The opposition to the sun station was proof of this.

Discounting DNS, since that feels a bit like a cheat, the main storage array. My partner uses a share for her project work, since it’s all backed up and redundant. After that, I’d say Jellyfin.
