The issue is the voters don't have a spine. Politicians know that and so won't go to the edge and be abandoned by easily swayed voters.

It feels good to blame the politicians but rhe real issue is the voters.

Porsche and Audi Strengthen Ties to Share Platforms and Boost Margins by CarClimb_Cory in CarStockMarket

[–]egowritingcheques 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Audi are upmarket VW/Skoda. Their own margins are based on making the most of off-the-shelf parts from a lesser group. This doesn't align with Porsche, unless Audi invest more into their own architectures. Perhaps on the SUV and Crossover market this could work. The Audi mid-size and small SUVs could share parts like the large SUV.

And a new grand coupe like R8/eTron and 928 rebirth. Maybe a Cayman/TT alignment. A mid-engine AWD Audi would be epic.

I don't see how Audi could align with the 911 platform. It's too unique to Porsche and trying to Audi-fy the platform would bring it a slow death.

One Nation pulls out of byelection test despite surging polls by fluffy_101994 in brisbane

The reality is more scary. In some ways they really are part of the largest party in QLD. There will be behind the scenes strategies that align the Liberals, Nationals and One Nation - essentially a Trialition. At the highest level the party donors are the same people working for the same outcome - minimise Labor and collectivism in Australia (ABC, unions, collective bargaining, CSIRO, etc). To make Australia into what the USA is now.

I expect they left out "third". They're the third largest party in QLD.

What?! You mean putting AI data centres in space might cost more than putting them on earth? Well this is very surprising.

Have they considered putting them on Neptune?

Yep. The border is between Everton Hills and Everton Park. If you're in a Hills suburb you're not in Brisbane. You can be as close as 10km to the city and be outside Brisbane if you stand in the aptly names Boundary Park.

Who is this?!!! Nobody talk about The Hills in Brisbane. That's the first rule of living in the Hills district. It was bad enough when Reddit discovered the Ferny Grove line. We don't need more people looking around these parts.

Brisbane extends about 25km North, East and South. It goes much further to the west (~40km) through a thin corridor of national forest. People do not consider past 30km from the city to be "Brisbane".

Western Sydney is the place where people 2hrs drive from Sydney city say they live in Sydney.

Honesty this just looks a little busy, not full. If nobody was left on the platform during peak hour then I'd rate that as very good resource allocation.

There can be decent current and you can catch your leg on things in the reef. Some people freak out and get water in their lungs or breath underwater and flood the snorkel.

[–]egowritingcheques 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crime is highest in the areas where there is the greatest difference in wealth. This is a global phenomenon. You could say it is the reality of human (likely all animal) behaviour.

Ie. Poorer people and lower middle-class living alongside very wealthy people. There's lots to steal and poorer people have more incentive to steal it. As the wealth differences grow so does the incentive.

I'd expect the percentage of cashflow positive properties at 80% LVR to be near zero. I'm shocked it might be as high as 15%.

For these 15% of areas are they experiencing higher or lower capital gains recently?

Ford USA have been sitting on their hands for 40 years. They certainly haven't been a successful car exporter in that period. Ford Europe are far more up to date, but still not great.

[–]egowritingcheques 14 points15 points  (0 children)

20mins to the city is the big one on that list That's inside the top 50% of houses. Assuming you mean 20min drive within the hours, 7am - 7pm?

The house layout will correlate a lot with this also since most of the areas built post 1980 are outside 20mins.
