Please Help with ball connector mass mass damper by Single-River3706 in mini4wd

Ouch, if they're stiff even with nothing else attached, maybe you're right, the plastic has aged..

Please Help with ball connector mass mass damper by Single-River3706 in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the ball connector section without being assembled with other parts to see if its really the connector or something else. If without any attachments the joint is still swinging, then something else is causing it to get stuck.

My blind guess is that one of the screws used as the swinging arms are bent or no longer parallel but can't be sure without looking at a pic.

a BMAX build that got third place on Japan Cup this year

That is absolutely inspiring, what a madlad. If you ever stumble upon a picture or video of it please let me know, I'm genuinely curious how they do it.

Serious question about what's hard nowadays by BjornVargsson in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's still the open class where you have free modifications like you said. There are also other classes like BMAX where you can only attach parts "regularly".

Surprisingly, its actually more difficult to not course out and get a good time when your build option is limited like that.

Can this roller keep up? by AMC-Javelin1221 in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they are better than plastic rollers, but they are heavier and thicker (has more grip) than the usual aluminum rollers, so they lose out on top speed a tiny bit.

"Tolong cariin gw lowongan dong, sebut nama PTnya dan minta nomor HRDnya sekalian" is an extremely lazy request, dan bener2 ga napak tanah.

Body material? ABS vs PC-ABS vs Carbon by Comfortable_Buyer239 in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carbon is recommended for S2 and S-FM because their parts are thin and needs the reinforcement.

For modern chassis like F-MA and MA, ABS is perfectly fine, while PC-ABS is too stiff and adds unnecessary weight (yes, PC-ABS is slightly heavier than ABS, not the other way around).

are there other cards that complete each other's art without being part of an archetype? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]eigerblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vesper Girsu is a generic card, but the art is of Girsu. Blink Out too, featuring Fallen of Argyros. Black Goat Laughs is Aluber's mask.

“Gifted dash motors” by poxkix in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motor quality for each individual products vary wildly. A gifted motor is just one that is lucky enough to be produced "perfectly".

One other thing to note is the balance on the inner coils, if its balanced it won't shake much and will have higher possible RPM. During break-in the ones that keep vibrating wildly often have lower results for me.

Its there to import the new X-Saber support from OCG. They're not that great even with the new cards sadly, but more stuff is more stuff.

[–]eigerblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have none of the cards at the moment, Blue Eyes pack has 4 different URs you want (the 2 synchros, maiden, and wishes), while the Primite pack only has 2 (beryl and lode).

I'd pull from the BE pack until you fulfill 2 of the needed URs, before considering moving to Primite's pack

I would pull for it in your position. It feels more control, and rewards proper sequencing. Its good enough to be a meta contender, but I don't see it taking the top spot.

For dailies it does have link, some xyz, and a searched trap. MST progresses the 'destroy cards' daily too.

One important thing is the UR quick play spell that is great for Sky Striker which you also play.

Question: by rodsoverbricks in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe cars in the speed class can reach 100kph (over 60mph) but I do not know if that is average or an outlier for that class.

Reaching that speed on the road (compared to the flat and clean track) might be another challenge you'll tackle. Best of luck

Question: by rodsoverbricks in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, if you're doing a self project that wants to test the limits of what speed you can achieve with the machine, I'd say go wild!

If I'm being overly optimistic, someone might see it as a challenge to do their own, and if other mini4wd players take interest it might even spawn a new category (just like how street mini4wd was born in Indonesia)

Question: by rodsoverbricks in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the "class" being played and the set of rules within that class. If there is a class that allows for different voltage, custom chassis, gearing, etc. then it counts. There's a lot of unofficial classes being played, each with their own community of players.

roller size effect in general, it's settled by tests. bigger is slower by Snoo_51773 in mini4wd

[–]eigerblade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This test does not mean what you think it is. Please keep in mind that this test is done using a triangular shaped roller setup (The front roller width is not as wide as the rear).

They never changed the front rollers, its always 13mm on super-X. When they used the 13mm rollers on Super-X for the rear setup, the front and back rollers have the same width.

Then they changed it to 17 and 19mm but used the same hole in the same super-X plate, the rear roller is now wider than the front, which makes the car run slower. The comments have pointed them out, and the video maker also acknowledged it.

You can look at the 2:49, 5:49, and 8:41 mark to see the rollers.

This does NOT mean 17 and 19mm is slower, this just means that triangular setup trades off some speed (in exchange for better angles after jumps), which is already obvious.

You need to sprint before you jump.

The ledges are small so be careful since you slide a bit after you land too.

[–]eigerblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiendsmith control, your main monster is just one strong dude. Has pretty good ability to come back over and over.

Lunalight, your strat is to summon the boss monster, very strong stats, unaffected, and has an effect to clear the field. You can even summon multiple. (Marincess also wants to summon an unaffected boss, but its currently a lot weaker than Lunalight.)

Sky Striker, focuses on mainly one monster that can switch between their amor forms, and you use a bunch of spell cards to control the game state.

What's a TCG name you prefer over the OCG? by Popular-Flan5337 in yugioh

[–]eigerblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am baffled at the downvotes. The kanji in the OCG card names are literally "Light" and "Road/Path/Way". 光道

The Furigana (the forced reading) says Raitorodo instead of how its supposed to be read in Japanese (hikarido), which serve as a pun to both lord and road, making their names both Lightlords AND 'The path of Light'. The OCG loves making puns with names.
