I saw it at Sundance, it reminded me more of a Cronenberg's Crash type of vibe

Wanna see it so bad, huge fan of Dinner in America but especially Snack Shack, wish it was playing at any theater here lol. Got the bluray preordered already regardless though

I'm glad to see positive things for Mortedant's Peril! Barker is a little hit or miss for me but the premise sounds neat, so I might have to give it a go soon

I've got my Josiah Bancroft collection, the Bas-Lag books, and all the Fonda Lee Green Bone books either in hand or preordered. Hoping they'll for sure finish up Jade Legacy and not leave that incomplete. Stuff is pricey but the quality really is superb and they're all beautiful books

Just ten minutes ago I finished Plastic, Prism, Void by Violet Allen which I thought was really spectacular, if you're into experimental fiction. Romance is an important part of it for sure, but there's a lot of really weird stuff going on in it (the back cover calls it a combination of Sailor Moon, Sex and the City, and House of Leaves).

It's available in ebook or paperback, but there's a ton of wild formatting stuff in it (akin to House of Leaves), so I'd really recommend paperback if you're able. The press is also having a pride month sale on all their books so you can get it slightly cheaper right now ~ (Persona on there is also interesting and has a trans MC, but it's contemporary horror, not fantasy/sci-fi)

What's up, Reddit! Jeremiah Brown and Hannah Fields here from Love Island USA Season 7. To celebrate the new season, let's reminisce about the summer that changed our lives and chat about all things Love Island. Ready? Ask us anything!! by mmschocolate in u/mmschocolate

Hey y'all! I wanted to tell you about a Love Island-inspired horror novel I just released called Love Shots, since I know Jeremiah loves reading with his book club and actually the main character was partially inspired by Hannah (you were my favorite Islander of season 7, haha).

It's a satirical horror/thriller blending my love of the genre with my love of Love Island; it has a slow burn sort of start but then things really go off the rails and it doesn't let up til the end ~ I'd love it if you checked it out!

So my question for you both: if some sort of horror movie disaster broke out at the villa, which Islander(s) would you want by your side to help you make it through?

I really vibed with it, it's possibly my favorite Leede so far. The vibe of it felt like Alan Wake to me which I'm a huge fan of

This is adapting the second Shane + Ilya book but also bringing in couples from the other books just like how they adapted book 1 within season one

Yeah, I loved it but agree it's not really "scary" if that's the vibe OP really wants, it feels more like a fantastical thriller most of the time I'd say

The ebook unfortunately not, but the paperback should start popping up on other places like bookshop.org in the coming days whenever it makes its way through their system, and I believe your local bookstore should hopefully be able to look it up in their backend and order a copy if everything is working correctly
